the amount of carbs will very, but if you are going to be doing the 5x5, I would suggest consuming 50% of you diet in carbohydrates. So if you are consuming 4k calories, 2k should be complex carbs (stuff usually grown by the sun!!!) Then break that up by how many meals you consume a day. 5 meals equalls 400 carb calories per meal. The more you eat and keep up with you diet, the more weight you will put on. Shoot for the stars buddy, and grow.
**I was not suggesting you were new to lifting, I just wanted to clarify, lots of people see the 5x5 and jump right into it, and that isn't the safest option. Good luck and grow
