my workout with chest 2x day

well im gonna start doing chest 2x a week cos it sucks..
so first chest workout ill do intense 8 rep stuff.. but the other lighter weight 12-15 reps. is that a good idea?

so far my schedule is this -

tuesday - chest (intense) + triceps
thursday - legs + forearms
saturday - shoulders + chest (lighter weights)
sunday - biceps + back

is this a go go? or a no go?

Do you mean two times a week? 'Cause two times a day seems a bit excessive.

I've had luck with chest two times a week, but where's your back work? And why not work triceps with chest?
 
Why do you need to train chest twice a week? You will quickly overtrain the chest if you pursue this program. If you train the chest twice a week, you obviously aren't training hard enough. You need to train chest only once per week. This involves picking basic exercises and knock it out in one session. Here might be a possibility:

Incline Barbell Presses - 4 x 8-10
Dumbbell Presses - 3 x 8
Dips or Dumbbell Flyes - 3 x 8

Think about rest time. KEEP IT SIMPLE!!
 
I think anything is worth a try, and the change in your routine should stimulate some growth. I know my chest recovers very quickly, and I could get away with working it every 3-4 days.
 
I train chest twice a week, I do three day splits, twice a week, with a rest day between.. basically, three on, one off, three on one off, etc etc works well for me, I find that you need to get alot of sleep though, cause if not, your muscles won't recover in time
 
yeh im doing 2x week cos its my worst bodypart.. i got wide shoulders so its hard to bring up

louden_swain.. that routine is almost exact to what i do and i do go hard.. and i am almost always sore the next day

i thought it would be okay because the 2nd chest routine im doing ligther weights.. so it wouldnt be overtraining
 
i throw in an extra chest workout once every third week. So I do four chest workouts in three weeks. It seems to help spur some extra growth

i just started doing this exact same routing and Im impressed with the results...

my chest is wack and it needs the attention... i workout 4x a week and take 3 days off and some active recovery...plus on back and leg day my chest isnt involved so recovery hasnt been an issue
