First off about me,
Age: 24
Height: 5'10
Weight: 174-175
bf: about 14-15%
History: Was never really the workout guy until several years ago. Worked out a little in high school but nothing serious. By the end of freshman year of college, I had hit my highest weight of 210. Began occasionally hitting the gym and watching what I ate. My best friend and roommate of 5 years started working out consistently so I tagged along. However, those habits disappeared once I turned 21 and partied nonstop. My roommate came back from his summer looking big. I got left behind. From that point on, I haven't gone more than 1 week without hitting the gym and became addicted. Last 2 years, I have bulked and cut several times and been good about my diet. This summer, I finally got my top 2 abs visible and settled down at 157 lbs. Lowest I hit was 154. I could have either kept cutting to reach my goal of a full 6 pack or start bulking. I decided I was starting to lose too much muscle and I would be too small dropping any more lbs. With winter approaching, I decided to start bulking.
Knowing this day was approaching, I had already done my research and it just so happened the 2 for 1 diesel sale was up so I took advantage.
Cycle:
1-4 wks: 3 caps ed diesel
1-4 wks: HCGenerate 5 caps ed
1-4 wks: Forged Liver Support
1-8 wks: Formastanzol 5 pumps am and pm
4-8 wks: Post cycle + unleashed
4-8 wks: 10g mono creatine
Pre cycle weight: 156-157
Post cycle weight: 176-177
Post PCT weight: 174-175
Diet was completely mapped out beforehand but had to raise the carbs as the cycle progressed. Don't have the breakdowns in front of me right now but it worked out to something like:
375 protein
300 carbs
100 fats
Thoughts on diesel: I thought the cycle went great. It was an awesome learning experience and will know how to handle some of the effects better and will tweak my routine and diet to better suit me. All my lifts went up significantly. I didn't go for any 1rm so all numbers are what I accomplished for 3 sets of 5.
Bench: 205 - 280
Deadlift: 255 - 335
Squats: 275 - 315
Notes: I stalled out on deadlifts pretty hard. I have much more in me but I dont have the grip strength to go higher. A think its time to at least get some chalk. I was tempted to get straps but rather use the situation as motivation to really work on my forearms and grip strength. Squats and deadlifts have always been a problem for me because of a problem with my discs. I have fixed the problem with great form on deadlifts but still working on it with squats. Something about the compression really aggravates my back. The back pumps starting in week 3 didnt help that. Sometimes I couldnt tell if it was the back pumps or a problem with my discs so I was just really careful when pushing it. Other than the backpumps, I got pretty lethargic at times but like many others have said, once you are in the gym you dont want to leave. It probably didnt help that I was working like 50 hrs, studying like 30 hrs, and hitting the gym. Upping the carbs definitely helped out a little.
Overall, I'm really happy with the results. Gained a significant amount of strength and mass in all areas. Most of it was muscle but as expected picked up a little fat also. I can still see those top 2 abs though. Its kinda sick completely filling out shirts that have always fit a little loose or just completely growing out of shirts the were well fitted before. I also grew out of a pair of slim fitting jeans. waist still fits fine but the legs fit too much like skinny jeans now. I guess its time to go shopping again.
I picked up a bottle of bridge and my plan is to be on it until my next cycle obviously. Im thinking of starting up in the first couple weeks of jan. This will give me more than enough time to complete cycle and pct before my cousins wedding and some other events lined up in the first quarter of next year. I would like to stack something with that 2nd bottle of diesel I have. Since I'll be heading down south to warmer climate, im thinking something that will help dry me up a bit.
im in between:
DIESEL/EPI or DIESEL/KATANA or maybe something else if anyone has any other ideas.
I've seen some diesel/epi logs but no diesel/katana logs. Anyone have any insight one either of these options. Any input would be great!
