Low carb snack recipes?

Anyone know if there is a thread dedicated to low carb snacks? If so, can you point me to it as I can't search. If not, what are everyone's picks for good snacks that won't wreck a diet.

Competing?? Or just generally healthy/cutting stuff??

Non competing:
handful of almonds/nuts
Cottage cheese + nuts or sunflower kernels or chopped tomato
turkey meat dipped in mustard
3 oz. tuna + 1 tblsp. FF mayo on WW crackers
Low carb WW tortilla (Trader Joes has some that are 50 cals) with whatever in it....

yea just healthy diet type stuff. Thanks for the ideas. I also found that spinach dip is a low carb snack so that with some celery would be a snack that I couldn't get tired of for a while

Well then, if not competing you can have all kinds of stuff!!! Think of a meal but just smaller proportions.....

You can make your own hummus too & use raw veggies to dip too.... :p

Santa Fe Almonds( You could use Peanuts too)

1 oz. dry roasted peanuts or natural almonds
1 tsp. peanut or veggie oil
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. HOT sauce

In a lrg. 1-qt. microwavable shallow casserole combine all ingredients and stir throughly coated. Microwave on HIGH for 2 minutes, stirring 1/2 way through cooking. Set aside and let cool for 5 minutes.

PER serving: 101 cals., 4 grams protein, 9 grams fat, 3grams carbs.

Spice up the same ole, same ole.

Actually you can do this with any unroasted nut - you can sometimes buy bags in bulk at Trader Joe's or health food stores & a combo like almonds, pecans, peanuts, etc would be good.....just lay them out on a baking pan & bake them for a few minutes just don't burn them!

Just dipping some broccoli or cauliflower in f/f sour cream is good. Are you lactose intolerant?

That Fage 0% Greek yogurt is good too....can be spiced up sweet or savory with whatever spices you'd like..... :p

Jen, I acutually like 'em better in the oven. Nothing better than toasty nuts.

Yes, I have burnt a few trays in my lifetime too. :jenscat
