Loosing weight and toning for women

I am trying to get some help for my wife. She has a Thyroid problem and taking off weight and keeping it off is hard for her. I have and do work out, but I am no expert and can't figure a work out plan for her. Where can I go to get her a good diet, and weight training program to tone. We have a full weight set up in the weight room.

She can eat and traing like a man. Only things that change are portion sizes to account for her weight, and weight changes to account for her strength.

Basic cutting diet would be about 12-10xBW to get total calories eaten a day.

Food choices are lean meats, fibrous carbs, limit starchy carbs, moderate healthy fats.

Check out the Women's Board and do some research there for more info. But PLEASE, read the posts BEFORE posting. :)
 
Also keep in mind that thyroid problems (depending on severity, etc.,) can certainly slow down progress. It can be very discouraging when you're putting in maximum effort and not seeing results in the mirror (which is what most people look for first).

Keep her motivated by placing emphasis on the often "unseen" improvements she will be making toward increasing longevity and overall health.
