Legs still sore after 5 days.

The lift was my main priority for years, but since I lost so much of my boobs over the last year I figured I'd like implants too. The implants weren't big ones, 450cc's, and they were just enough to bring me back to the size I was last summer before I started lifting. I'm fitting back into my 36DD's. :) And with the implants being under the muscle, these won't droop on me like my own boobs did! I love technology! LOL

OK...so last Friday I did squats for the first time. Just the bar, 3 sets, 8, 10, and 12. Well... the front of my thighs are still sore. I've been pretty much out of the gym for 2 months, but I had still been working leg work occasionally. Wonder why I'm still sore after 5 days. Any ideas?

Well...I'm guessing now that my soreness was a combo of doing a new exercise and the fact that I'd been out of the gym for so long. On Wednesday I did biceps and triceps and hit them hard for the first time in nearly 2 1/2 months...I went away to NY for the weekend and was sore until Sunday afternoon. So sore in my forearms to the point where I could not straighten out my arms completely! LOL I loved it! I'm back home and tonight is legs again...can't wait!!! I'll warm up before and after and take the advice of this thread. Thanks folks! :)
 
Believe me I know the feeling!!! I have just headed back to the gym myself after a year's lay off. Of course I don't know how to do anything nice and easy, so my first day was hitting hard on legs doing none other than sqatts. Pissed as hell that my lifts are no where where they used to be but pushed it to the limit regardless. My main goal was to tear my legs apart and that I did!! Between the squats and 2 sets of heavy leg presses, I crawled out of the gym. Thought I would end the day with a little jog home.....HAAAAAAAAAA Good thing I had my cell phone, cuz I had to call for a ride home!!!!

You know you kicked your own ass when you are sore by the time you go to bed that night. I knew it was gonna hurt good for a week or two and hurt it has!!! It has been a week and I am just now able to get myself off of the toilet!!! But I luv it!!
 
LOL, TG! I loved the getting off the toilet thing. I did my squats again tonight and am feeling a bit sore already. This time I added some weight to the bar. I warmed up first on the stair master for 5 minutes, then did a warm up set of squats with no weight, just the bar, really paying attention to form only. Then I added a little weight for the next set, then added some more for the next two sets, then finished with the eliptical machine....did a hundred forwards, a hundred backwards, repeated 4 times. I went heavier tonight on calves than I have in a couple of months. I'm happy. :)
 
Now you should see me trying to answer the phone after working bis and back!! Can't bend my arms past 90 degrees!!! Ooooooo this feels good!!! Watch out Spatts!! I'll be hot as you again in no time!! hehehehehehe :P
