Injured back here, out of lifting for probably 3-6 weeks, what should I do???

Hey guys, I need some good advice. I hurt my back pretty bad the other day squatting. I did it during warmups actually. It was a really freak thing, just a wrong twist in my mid section and I hit the floor and could move. I was in the ER for several hours on Morphine and shit. Well I have to wait another week to 10 days before I get an MRI to know exactly whats wrong. But so far they seem to think its a pulled or torn muscle. The doc said it could possibly be a hurniated(SP?) disc but they dont think its likely. Anyway, this happened about 4 days ago. For two days I couldnt walk but as of today I feel really good. Im walking really well and I only have pain in certain angles that I get my body in. Anyway, I wont be lifting for at least 3 weeks possibly longer. I will probably start walking in the mornings for 30 min four days a week or so to get my back rehabbed because thats what the doc said would help me to get loose and help it heal. Well I am 5'5" and weigh about 190lbs and my BF is 14% or so. I am not able to lift and I know I will lose some muscle especially if its longer than 3 weeks without the gym. What should I do to help maintain what I have??? I know eat a shit load of protein and all but I had planned on losing my bodyfat down to about 6-8% for summer. Is this still possible or should I wait until I hit the gym again??? I am not sure what do without weightlifting. I feel so fucking fat right now for two reasons, 1) up until the last few months Ive never had a bodyfat over 8% 2)mentally I know I cant go to the gym to lift and I have been eating shit for the past four days. What do you guys think???

Wow. that is really bad. I have pulled muscles before,but that sucks. I dont think you can do much about it man. I guess I would eat well, high protein, low fat, and watch the carbs since you wont be burning many cals. You should take this time to reflect on yourself and heal. Get online as much as possible and learn during this time off. Get your mind geared and ready for your return to the gym with knowledge and disipline. Thats about all the advice I have for you. Thanks bro, I am thinking of stocking up on ALA and going ahead and cutting my carbs some and saying fuck it and lose some fat since I cant do anything but go to school and lay around the damn house. I will probably be weak and lose muscle while Im off but fuck it, I would rather be skinny and weak but look better as to be fat and weak when I return lol. We will see I guess.
 
Just bumping to see if anyone thinks its a good or bad idea to try and cut some fat while injured and not able to lift.
