I'm also new to this place!!!

I'm new here but not new to Physical Fitness. I've also been on many other fitness boards and alot of them shut down eventually.

I've just came here to share my insight on this whole Fitness thing. I consider myself pretty hardcore.

True, most boards kind of fizzle out after a while.

So what are your areas of relative expertise? Nutrition, training, better bodies through chemistry?

I must say I was'nt born with any advantages. I was petty much fat until I starting getting into weight training. I had alot of fat to burn and them I decided to put on muscle. Then when I decided to compete I had to make my body as perfect as I could to win and thats an ongoing process.


I have tryed just about every kind of dieting and supplement out there and I find that out of all the stuff out there only a few worked for me.

I have a body that puts on fat and stores water easy. So I think I have it the hardest when it comes to getting in shape.

I find there are some girls that are naturally thin with high metabalism. Most of these women dont have a problem holding water and storing fat easy.

The best advise I can give for WOMEN is not to rush the process. You will look better if you take your time and do it gradually. I noticed alot of women try to get muscular and lean and it just wont look right if you try to RUSH it.


Women who rush the process end up looking stringy, flabby and thin or end up bulky sometimes worse looking then before.

I think the hardest thing to do when getting into shape is knowing if what your doing is working or not. Most of the time its hard to tell.

I've seen women do exactly what I'm doing but not getting the same results. I think there doing something wrong and they dont realize it. Training, Diet and cardio have to be figured out.

Welcome Physicalgirl! I couldn't have said it better. I also tend to put on alot of fat & water, though I can muscle up relatively easy too. I'm totally at the point where I will gladly sacrifice some size to drop some weight.

BTW, I saw your picture & you look awesome! Very "hard core"! (We like girls who can lift more than the boys can!) What has been your competition experience so far & where do you want to take it? Oh yea, and what are your stats?

Usually women that store fat easly tend to build muscle easer also but there is a slight problem with that.

Because a women that stores fat easy and builds muscle easy tends to build muscle under that fat and water. To me this is not good.

I think it looks bad to have large muscles under fat. In my opinion it makes a women look thick and bulky. I DREAD that thick bulky look on a women.


Once again, In my opinion I think a women who stores fat easy should go moderate-to-lite with the weights and work on a STRICT FORM while doing various types of cardio and focus on burning fat more than building muscle.

Its hard to keep muscle when you have alot of fat to burn.
