Im having the biggest problem with eating the foods in my diet! I seriously almost throw up sometimes when I try eating oatmeal and whey or just plain tuna or brown rice. I go without eating for like 6 hours sometimes because i just dont wanna eat the foods.
THis is my diet.

7:30am-1 cup oatmeal+2 scoops of whey+1 tbs Natty PB

10am-6oz chicken+2 cups green beans+1 cup brown rice

1pm-1cup Tuna+1cup green beans+1 Tbs oliveoil

4:30pm- 2 scoops whey protien+1 scoop of oatmeal

5:30pm- Kick boxing class where we do some good cardio.
6:30pm-Class ends PWO shake w/1 scoop whey and dextrose.

7:30pm-chicken breast 6 oz+ salad w/ broccolli or spinach.

7:45 Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class another good amount of cardio. Class ends 915pm.

1030pm Usually when I sleep 10 egg whites

I added PB in the am because thats the only way i can eat plain oatmeal. I tried cinamon and splenda and that wasnt enough. So basicly any ideas on what i can use to replace the plain chicken, tuna, and can i add PB to my shake in the am? its natrual but i hear its not good to do carbs+fats in same meal. Anyways any advice on what you guys add to your chicken tuna or rice would be awesome! can i replace peas with potatoes? do they also have good fiber??

First of all... quit being a taste queen. I trust no one who says they can't stomach oatmeal..it practically has no taste. There's no excuse. Tuna I can understand, but oatmeal? suck it up bro.

As for ANPB with breakfast, I say upon waking on an empty stomach is prolly the only time carbs+fats won't bother u much at all... i.e. eggs and oatmeal... lots of fats in eggs. So add the ANPB. And if u notice your progress is stalling take it away.

I don't see peas listed anywhere in your diet, but no, you can't replace green veggies with potatos. It's just a horse of a different color. Veggies are nutrient DENSE and calorically NOT..so u'd have to eat buckets to approach the amount of carbs in a potato. You can replace potatos with yams, oats, fruit depending on timing, natural granola depending on timing, etc.

Where is your post workout meal after jiujitsu??? We need some protein and carbs immediately there. And no egg whites before bed. You need something slow digesting that will nourish you through the night.

I would suggest a serving of ANPB along with some kind of protein is good right here.... or you can do cottage cheese. If you can't handle oatmeal there's no way you'll be able to handle cottage cheese, BUT, if you sprinkle a box of jello sugar free powder on it... it masks the taste and makes it taste like candy. Try it.

As for masking flavor... if you like heat you're in luck... frank's red hot has 0 calories (lots of sodium though) and covers up the taste of everything. You can also try oil and balsamic vinegar (the olive oil would be a fat, vinegar would contribute to carbs though not much), Ms. Dash seasonings, and low sodium teriyaki sauce goes OK with some stuff.

Good luck. Try to look at food as fuel, not taste. You'll grow to like oatmeal if you keep eating it, I eat it plain with water no nothing on it and I love it.

I have to choke down tuna and oatmeal too...its the price you pay bro..take big bites, try not to think about it, and drink helly water.

OK, I understand the food for fuel not for taste mentality, but dieting doesn't have to be miserable, and the more you hate what you have to eat the more likely you are to go splurge on some shit you shouldn't be eating.

Oatmeal - you could try cocoa + splenda, or grind up the oats and blend it in with they whey and ANPB as a shake.

I hate brown rice. It's bland, hard, and just sucks. Try basmati rice instead. It's roughly the same GI as brown rice (some sites list is as lower GI, some as higher, but the difference is minimal), and it's fluffier and kinda tastes alot better. It hardly has any fiber, but brown rice doesn't have all that much anyway, and throwing in some fibrous veggies can fix that problem. Lots of ways to flavor it - seasonings, FF I can't believe it's not butter spray, low sodium soy sauce, ect.

For tuna, buy some canola oil or olive oil based mayo, or make your own, and mix that in with the tuna. You could throw some veggies like celery, alfalfa sprouts, jalapeno, and/or onion, maybe some black pepper or a little dijon mustard - you should be able to find a concoction that works for you.

As for the chicken - there are alot of marinades out there that are low in fat/carbs (I tend to use either a Garlic Herb marinade or just FF Italian dressing - adds some carbs though), and there are also tons of ways to season (Mrs. Dash, blackened/cajun, ect.), or a standard method is to just drench it in hot sauce.

Need a break from the olive oil, eat some almonds - also high in monounsaturated fats, and has some fiber too.

It wouldn't be a bad idea to incorporate a source of omega-3's in somewhere. Your diet is pretty low on fat, and omega-3's are important. Flax oil is one good source. If you do, only buy it if it's been kept refrigerated in the store. I'd recommend Barlean's brand if you get some, since it's always pretty fresh. You could make your own salad dressing using flax oil, or even a mix of flax and olive oil if you're not big on the taste of flax - many aren't, including me. You could take some fish oil caps instead, but it gets to be a bit of a pain taking in alot of caps.

You'll get used to it. Just takes time to adjust to the taste of food without all that crap in it. Once you do, it'll be hard to go back to eating anything that is not health because of the taste.
