How much protein can the body absorb at any one time?

I know the infamous 30g max is bollocks, but surely a min of 50g can be absorbed, especially after training? I remember UK wrestler Alex Shane said that he takes 100g after training!!!
 
you can train your body to use more protein by eating more regularly. your body will adapt. you can also take digestive enzimes and other aids to help. there are shutteling agents and so on. so my guess is that a range from 20g for someone who barely eats to 200g for a monster on all the drugs is probably somewhere in the right ball park. i myself used 100g prot 150g carbs post w/o while blasting and using a shutteling device. my bf % didnt climb my weight did.

Will the digestive enzymes help with the excess bloating?

im not sure of that. i dont think so. the best way to fight bloat is low sodium and high water intake.
