How long should you rest between upperbody workouts

How long should you rest between upperbody workouts? say i worked my shoulders,chest, at a high intensity then wait 48hrs for muscles to recover then blast my back and arms at high intensity then wait another 48hrs to recover then blast chest, shoulders again. During the rest days i could work lower body and abs or some 30min cardo. Is this ok?
 
so you are doing
mon shoulders and chest
tues day off
wed back and arms
thurs day off
fri. start again chest shoulders

everyone is different..... some do one body part per week...
I have always liked 3on 1off
chest tricep mon
back bicep tues
legs wed
off........... thrus
and start again...

if you do chest wait at least 2 days before you do it again
or any other body part... but that doesnt mean you have to take a day off after each work out. you can do one muscle group one day and another muscle group the fallowing day... some like to do all push muscles one day like chest tri's and shoulders.. and all pull the next ..... like bi's and back... then legs the next...
so for me i like to do one muscle group say mon then i wont do it again till friday.... so i rest 72hrs... I think is perfect for me...... but i would not go less then 48 or more than a week
