How Long did it take for you to figure out the iron game?

I'm with the majority here - been lifting for a decade and still feel like a beginner every time I enter the gym!!

That's one of the great things about bodybuilding - you never feel like you've "done it all" - because you can always push your body to another level....or try something different....or learn something new...etc.,

I thought I knew everything in high school but looking back now I knew nothing. For me it took 5 years for my diet to be balanced enough to get gains on a consistant basis. My training will be work in progress for the rest of my life but I'm happy with recent acheivements. I'm looking forward to the new year and gains I hope to acheive.

What is your diet like? I am curious. What diet gave you gains on consistent basis?

2 years ago I finished a 3000+ hour massage therapy course and we also took a class in exercise rehab. First year we learned all the exercises and how to do them properly and second year we learned injury-specific rehab techniques and exercises. I am now also a certified resistance trainer. From what I learned in that program, I'm surprised I didn't kill myself in junior high or high school lifting the way the teachers told us to. TOTAL improper form.
After all that, I still learn new stuff every time I go to the gym.
