Got Milk?

Aries13 said:
WHen im cutting i have NO dairy what so ever in my diet. EVen skim milk has lots of sugar in it... which is where the carbs come from. Also, the protein content is not as high per serving size... you would have to drink like 3cups to get enough(1c=90cal,8gP,13gSugar/carbs). And yes, it can make you look flat.

** Oh how I miss a nice glass of milk...now that I think about it. Its been 11weeks of no dairy :worried:

Good post. Bottom line the ratios suck. Too much sugar and not enough benefit. There is no need to prove that milk makes you look soft. You're hearing it from real people who have seen the effects of milk versus no milk in their diet. Enough said. Ask any of the other serious diet gurus and they will tell you that milk is complete bull shit.

WHOAA, i wouldnt say its complete bullshit, i wouldnt say its a miracle drink either, Im Saying in my DIET(s) Cutting & Bulking i drink Milk. I dont just have a glass of milk, but mixed w/ Whey.

I think Dairy is one of those "everyone is different" items. BUT i wouldnt go and say MILK is bullshit.

BUT im also not saying that if your in competition and need to be below 5%, then ya cutting milk might not be so bad, but if your not in competition or serious cutting i would go for it.

City Hick were talking about the pros and cons of milk. Is calling me a shithead necessary?

I don't think so you faggot.

I guess if I wanted to drink milk I could look like you...FAT!

LoL boys, boys. Settle down. I'm on the pro-milk side. Correct me if I'm wrong. Lactose has minimal effect on insulin levels (i.e., won't jack up your blood sugar levels), and milk's combination of whey + caseine is damn near impossible to beat, especially after a workout. Lyle McD would back me up here.

Your the one that started talking shit for absolutely no reason. We were simply discussing our thoughts on milk and whether we agreed with its use when cutting. Just opinions from trial and error. I'm not saying I'm right, just offering my thoughts. Sorry for the smart ass comeback. Everyone has there own views.

it depends on why are you cutting and where are you right now.

competition? probably leave dairy out, puffy look

losing weight? you could have a glass here and there, it won't kill you, as long as it's accounted for in your daily caloric intake and in your macros. Then again, when I plateau, that is one of the first things I check.

Why would milk make you look puffy? You would only get that puffy look from retaining water right? And milk has no sodium. So then what is it?
