Got Milk?

I am starting to clean up my diet for summer. I have been eating 5 clean meals every 3 hrs or so. I also have been chugging skim milk throughout the day, evening and throughout the night. I am thinking this a decent, inexpensive, low carb, low sugar, high protein drink. Other opinions welcome.

not really condusive to cutting though...

makes your muscles appear soft...

i'm not saying it's bad, just not ideal for someone wanting that ripped appearance...

I have heard that milk leads to a softer looker which I definitely am uninterested. I thought it would be a comparable but less expensive alternative to another protein drink.

So what. Bloat can go away. But the muscle that it might help you gain will stay (with the right diet and workouts of course) my .02 cents.

i would not recommend milk while cutting. Simply put, there are more ideal protein sources. In this game there are bad, good, and excellent choices that can be made. Milk is not optimal.

Explain why a fat free or skim milk is not optimal? If eaten at the rate ratios with meals or mixed with whey... you have high WHEY prtoen content. few claories and close to no fat.

i dont think there is whey in skilm milk. whey is usually the bi product of when milk is made. skim milk is also going to raise your insulin levels which will transport gylcogen and amino acids to your fats cells for storage unless your are eating something with enough fat to slow gastric emptying.
