Any and all statments that a given person makes to support a position, written or otherwise, whether exagerations or not, are indicitive of that persons psyche. I will agree that I am no more certified to evaluate anyone's psyche, through any media, than Micky Mouse.akathegame said:...Statements like the ones I made are something mosty people recognize as exagerration in support of an arguement.
...I'm also secure enough to laugh off your belief that you can gain ANY insight into me as a person based on my posts on this board.
...you could get a feel for my thoughts on numerous subjects, including women, but if you think for a second that these posts provide any real psychological insight you are the one who needs to get your head checked
Though I partialy agree with your point, you have added one qualifier that invalidates the logic. If your point is "that <many> men are illogically far more selective of best friend than they are of female partners" and that the inherent danger is exacerbated by the fact that we also become more vulnerable to female partners, I agree. Given this, however, it is far more logical to project a distrust on oneself than to apply an irrational, unilateral distrust to women.akathegame said:...I was overemphasizing a very real distrust of the opposite sex in making my point, that being that men are illogically far more selective of best friend than they are of female partners and since the female partner is prevy to an even more exposed emotional side of you, there is a definite recipe for disaster.
