Funniest/Stupidest advice you hear at the gym???

"Don'tcha know all that muscle'll turn to fat if you stop lifting?":FRlol:

Why do GUYS usually feel they got short-changed on genetics while WOMEN (the ones who are afraid to train heavy and have never even tried it) think they're "cursed" with freaky muscle-building genes that will turn them into the Incredible Hulk if they lift more than 10 lbs?

hah, has got to be the funniest one, every women i know says they dont want to use much weight or weight period cause they dont want to get to big, i wish i had those incredible hulk genes that let me get so big so fast.

Caught this gem from one of the "afternoon bench press crew" yesterday..

"You know, if you bounce the bar off your chest, it actually bounces and helps you out."

The same ones who do 2 hours of endless bench pressing a day.

from a buddy of mine who doesnt train with weights but thinks he knows everything cause he's going to school to be a gym teacher......

as i'm mixing a protien shake....."dude, you're waisting it, you didnt even workout yet today".....

haha

My favourite, are all the YMCA trainers. The dinkiest little fucks on the planet. Kind of ironic considering they seem to know everyting about bodybuilding.

They use alot of wordplay too, to them "strong" means "Kenyan"

"Use reps of 3-5 to get big, and 12-15 to get strong"

another great YMCA trainer comment

"bodybuilders and powerlifters have no real applicable strength... they may be able to bench alot but ask them to move..say.. a piece of drywally (yes he used drywall as an example.. and he was serious) from here to there and their gonna have alot of trouble"

Comment from the same YMCA trainer
"... well i cant bench alot, but i have incredibly strong legs,I can leg press 500 lbs."

A great piece of advice i read from the preamble in a protien counter book.

"Bodybuilders sometime consume more than 3g's of protien for every pound of bodyweight but in reality you can gain over 20 lbs of muscle in one month with just 7 grams of protien a day"

I was told the other day that all you need is ONE day for full recovery of a muscle.

Hmmm some others...

Friends of mine quitting the gym because they didnt see results in ONE WEEK.

You can change your bodytype (endomorph to mesomorph lol)

Theres more but i cant remember.

BTW, i believe you can create a peaked look for the biceps by stressing the outer head and increasing its size, and enlarging the bracialis to push the muscle up higher.

"what does that exercise work?"
"that exercise is pointless."

Some guy said this to me after I finished a set of deadlifts.

"You can change your bodytype (endomorph to mesomorph lol) "

I was under the impression this is possible...Ive put on 100 pounds over the span of 6 years(@6'3"), at least from outward appearance it looks like ive changed my body type.

I've seen 2 clowns working out next to me doing incline dumbell press and they were arguing with each other as to what the exercise worked.......one said it was for shoulders, the other kept arguing saying "no, its for triceps!"
I like the one about the spot on barbell rows. :FRlol:
And the one about wasting the protein powder because he hadn't trained yet. :smash:
