For proponents of short, intense workouts - uh huh, sure

Intenceman - if I may ask - do you do leg exts before squats because of a lack of lower back strength? I often find my lower back can't cope with the weight my legs can on squats - thus, I suppose what appear to be forced reps on squats are simply someone helping to support my lower back while my legs finish what they are actually capable of. Been wondering lately if I shouldn't just do heavy leg presses to pre-exhaust quads before squats .....

I do it intentionally do raise the training intensity of my quad training. By preexhausting the quads first, then going to a Squatting or Leg pressing movemnt, I get a deeper inroad into leg strength than when I do it the other way around (and I have done that too, particularly when I was trying to get my Squats up over 500). I really don't get much quad growth anymore if I don't do it this way- my thighs are about 27-28", and I sort of stagnated on the more conventional approach. I have noticed an increaese of muscle around the knee- the "teardrop", as well as better overall development since starting this last year.
I use a similiar approach on most other body parts.
