Double's Day (19 days since I last squatted:()
Squats
1x10x45
1x5x135
1x3x225 (felt kind of heavy)
1x2x275
1x1x295 belt (failed 2nd shit!)
1x1x305 hard belt





Wednesday 7/7/10

Squat
1x5x45
1x5x135
1x3x225
1x1x265
1x2x285
1x2x295 (hard) belt

Machine leg press
3x20x160 (sounds light but it feels much heavier, like 400 on a regular leg press)

Comments: decent workout. Need help on a squat progression though? andalite?



So you can see I increased reps at 295 and added reps at 285. How should I progress from here? I'm gonna leave on the backpacking trip so what should my last workout be before?
 
How was that a Doubles day? You do know that Doubles means 2 reps, right??? hahaha

So you added reps to 295. 1 rep. Thats good.

Next week, try to get in some work with 285. Like 3 sets of 2 reps with 285. Thats it. It's a good place to be at. From there you should try to add reps to each set and then a few workouts from there when you can hit 3 sets x 4 reps x 285 lbs, add weight. Add a little weight at first...like 295 lbs. But, the following session jump to 315 and reduce the reps. But keep sets to 3.

thanks! I really enjoy low rep squats, with the doubles I meant to do doubles but did 275x2, then got to 295 and realized it was too heavy to continue doubles so I moved to singles.

So I should do

3x2x285

then build up to 3x4x285

then 3x2x295? or maybe 3x3x295 depending on how I feel. Then like 3x2x315??? That would be pretty heavy for me.....though maybe not after a few weeks of hard work

You know what's really funny is (and i am asking for it by saying this shit... i really am) that my mom asked me if i was gay since me/some friends have had inside gay jokes since middle school and she read them in my yearbook. Then on vacation, she saw me dancing and said i was too good to be straight and she legit thinks i am gay rofl.

Anyways, keep up the good work with the workouts tblock. I hope you get your strength back soon
