First day on ckd

Today was my first day on CKD. I took 12mg of E-HCL and 200 mg caffeine at 9 am and at 2 pm took the same thing again. I also took a multi vitamin and 1000mg of vitamin C. I did 35 minutes of low intensity cardio on an empty stomach, well actually I took gplenish first in coolaine made with spenda. (Is this ok or a bad idea? If it is should I just take it after I finish with breakfast?) a few hours later I also did bench press (bar x 20, 8,6,4, 2), Incline bench (8, 6, 4), dumb bell press (8,6,4) and tricept pull downs (10, 8 ,6), Weight dips (8, 8,8), skull krushers (8, 6, 5). I also had to work which is to play tennis for 1.5 hours at a medium - fast pace, which is sort of like HIIT in a way. (I think this should balance out the extra 86 calories and then some.) Below is what I ate and I am wondering if its ok or is there something I should change? I am shooting for 500 caloric deficit + 500 calories burned from cardio a day.

10:00 am
1 Tbsp Gplenish
32 oz's water
coolaide
about 1 splenda

11:00 am
2 whole eggs (medium)
1 egg white
3 pieces Hormel Bacon
1 Tbsp Extra virgin Olive Oil
24 oz's Water

2:15 pm
1 Tbsp Gplenish
1.5 scoops Optium Whey (vanilla icecream flavor)
32 oz's water

3:15 pm
1 packet Sorrento string cheese
16 slices margherita pepperoni
2 pieces perdue golden brown turkey
1/4 cup walnuts
24 oz's water

6:00 pm
1/4 cup walnuts
2 slices perdue turkey
1 Tbps Almond Butter
2 cellery stauks
coolaide
1 splenda
32 Oz's water

6:30-8:45
16 ounces of water

9:00 pm
Desert Protein (Caesin) 1 packet
Optium Whey (vanilla icecream flavor) 1/4 scoop
2 Tbsp Olive oil
2 Tbsp heavy cream
1/8 cup walnuts
8 ounces of water

Totals that I calculated from adding up nutrition facts on the labels.

146g fat, 168g pro, 26g carbs

1314
672
104

2090 calories

CKD calculator told me to take in 2004 calories (167lb X 12)
140g fat, 167g pro, 20g carbs

So basically I got pretty close. I would appreciate any suggestions. I think I am gonna start doing HIIT in a couple days after I see that I have reach ketosis.

I did the same, but calculated to 28 carbs today, but then went to taco bell and jacked it all up. So tomorrow morn I will start it over when I have all my ingrediants.

Mr. X is quite the expert on your type of diet

I just thought I would chime in on the Gplenish Precardio

I would save it for after cardio to kick you out of a catabolic environment quick, I would also throw it with some really richly flavored protein powder to offset the taste

I say not to take it pre cardio for you want fat to be used

and the glutamine can be used as an energy source instead of fat which is not what you want while hitting the AM cardio

when you lift by all means take it pre wieght session and after

this practice will save hard earned muscle while fat melts off

good luck!

alright that makes sense. I guess yesterday really would matter anyway because I was not in ketosis yet so my body probably wasn;t burning much fat, just depleting glycogen stores.

I'm in Ketosis! The keto sticks showing in between light and dark pink. It took about 36-48 hours to reach it. I don't feel shitty at all, although I am taking EC so maybe thats why.

I am planing on starting CKD pretty soon, just gathering info and nescessary materials now.

Good luck.
Post regular updates on your progress.

Mr X has advised against the use of glutamine as he feels it can kick you out of ketosis

gplenish will kick me out? those keto strips are a lot. I don;t wanna use em up if I don't have to.

I've asked him about straight up L-glutamine and he said it will kick you out. This was pre-gplenish creation though :)
