Do you think this guy is full of shit

Honestly, most of the protein you guys consume (I see some guys taking in 400-500 grams per day) are being used as fuel. Protein is not the most efficient fuel to take in, and it is usually more expensive. When your body uses the protein you're taking in as fuel, it produces ammonia from the nitrogen...ammonia is toxic, so your body must get rid of it. how does it get rid of it? Through urine, so you'll piss more...what else do you lose through piss? water. What does that lead to? dehydration. What does that lead to? Poor muscle performance.

Carbohydrates are the best route to take in most cases. Huck actually brought one reason for a high protein intake to my attention a few weeks ago...and it had something to do with his insulin activity.

Simple carbs give me sooo much energy and power while in the gym. I think 1Xbodyweight is good for protein intake, at least for me. I had a thread about this a while ago which resulted in many replies.

one positive side effect of ammonia however:

it's a base and therefore while you are doing a set it will take linger for the acidity to build up in your muscles. this could equal more muscular endurance.

But I don't recommend 70%...i should have added that. That is a bit high...55% is a normal range.

And of course protein intake should be increased when on a cycle...but not too much.

i dont know about the author above, but i know THIS guy is full of shit for what its worth. :)

ok then screw this diet I'm on:

6am- 6 egg whites, 2 yolks, water
10am- 7oz tuna, water
1pm- chicken breast, 1/4cup rice
3pm- protien drink
7pm- chicken breast, milk

about 220grams protien total

ever since I've been on it I've been dizzy and have no energy. (I have lost some bf though). What do you guys eat for carbs and what time of day?

There is not much evidence that muscle acidity (lactic acid) produces muscular fatigue.

i "eat" most of mine in the two-three post w/o shakes/meals. like a carb/protein drink after, then another 2 hrs later...then a pigout a few hours after that drink (insulin hunger :D). maybe a few carbs at night, but not much. on off days i try to stay away from carbs if i can. just eat them sparingly. like some rice or bread or whatever that goes along with what i am eating. otherwise its whey/flax or metrx/flax drinks most of the day.

even lean ass dudes could not stay lean at 70% carbs, maybe at the most 50% someone with a fast metabolism could stay shredded but I doubt 70%, but hey, everyone is different

Sure it's possible, if they take in like 7 X bodyweight. :)
