do you count fiber as a carbohydrate for getting into/staying in ketosis?

I'm pissing purple and would like a table spoonful of peanut butter it's soy peanut butter and it has like 1g of carbs and 5g of fiber. wondering if I can mix some soy peanut butter in with every meal as part of my regular eating for my source of fats.

Thanks again to anyone who knows the answer.

If it contained Sugar Alcohol's, you would add that and the fiber together, and then subtract that from the carbohydrates to calculate the net effective carbs. Sugar alcohol's are slow metabolizing, so they have little to no impact on blood sugar levels.

Still a good idea to avoid the sugar alcohol if you can though.

Sugar alcohol in gum is minimal at best (generally 1g or less per stick). It's the sugar free candy (generally 10-29g per serving), Carb Smart ice cream (12g+ per serving), etc. that you need to watch out for.

I still chew gum, even on the diet/workout regimen I am currently on, as it keeps me from unnecessarily eating things I know I shouldn't. For the minimal impact of the sugar alcohol, I'll take that over unnecessary eating any day.
