Diet while vacationing

Hey everyone,

Am on my first cycle and don't want to slow progress. But I'm going snowboarding for 5 days, and know it'll be hard to eat every couple of hours. Anyone have any suggestions regarding:

1) Favorite protein bars that can be popped into the pockets of my ski jacket?

2) Tips and tricks people have come up with to make sure they get enough protein/calories/carbs while on vacation?

Thanks for your suggestions/experience.

I used to race boardercross when I was in college, so I spent a lot of time at the mountains with no real good food choices available. What ended up working the best for me was to just bring a backpack with 2 solid meals that I could leave at the lodge in a locker. And then 2 servings of protein powder and a bottle of water that I could carry with me on the mountain. Just be sure to choose a bottle with a big mouth to make it easier to pour the powder in to it.

I plan my dieting and bulking so they don't interfer with vacations :)

I enjoy them, and lift occasionally on them... like u said, keep some protein bars on you... that'll probably be your best bet.

agreed. I'm thinking about my miami/cruise vacation leaving july 1st, and i'm trying to be just ripped to shit for it. I keep thinking about staying lean on the vacation etc. I dont want to be anal and not enjoy myself so i just think about other vacations where I gorged on everything and drank my face off. luckily this vacation is with my gf so a) we'll be active doing the sightseeing bit, b) our cruise ship has a mammoth gym with everything for those days at sea c)just keep my protein high and skip the late night buffet :)

-if you're going on a road trip a 2lb whey bucket and shaker could work, can even fit in a suitcase fairly easily.

^^ regarding the cruise:

I recomend ONLY lifting while docked, lol... with freeweights at least. Almost fell off a flat bench in some rough waters!

LOL i'll definatly keep that in mind, but i saw the online tour and wow 15000sq feet of gym, elipticals treadmillls bikes, every freeweight, everything new, looked nice. Thank god I have a gf that enjoys working out too.
