well im starting a new diet...i was doing atkins and got some results but was cheating half the time :( so i wanted to get real strict. here is what i came up with. let me know what u guys think.

wt: 425( down 45lbs! :) )
bf: 51%
6 foot tall

meal 1
2 scoops procomplex in water
1 tbsp flax oil

meal 2
1 cup oats
6oz. chicken breast

meal 3
1 cup oats
6oz. chicken breast

meal 4
2 scoops procomplex in water
1 tbsp flax oil

meal 5
8oz. sirloin steak

meal 6
2 scoops procomplex in water
1 tbsp flax oil

it end up being like 320g protein, 120g carbs, 80-90g fat(42g from flax)

so what do u all think?

are you lifting regularly? if so, eat zero carbs mon-fri then carb up on weekends-if you don't lift, atkins is the best-go back to it and try to tough it out-at your weight, you should eat over 400g daily protein

im starting to lift again........i dont like the ckd cause i binge really bad on the weekend....tkd would i think be better if i did low carbs....my new doc told me to get off insulin and gave me oral pills for diabetes(glucovance).....my liver enzymes where really high (150 and 260)....and my diabetic #(i forgot what its called) hb something..is really really high 11.5......how could i eat 400g protein? i thought i was suppose to eat moderate protein, high fat so ketosis?.....my doctor told me to stay on atkins for now...but im not sure...

big calvin Hello

Do as your Doctor told you!!!!!!!!
He knows more able you and your health then we do so stick with what He/She said.

ok sence both of u agree i should do low carbs, should i do a tkd because i train(im guessing my doctor doesnt know i workout)? say 25g pre and post workout 3 times a week?

thanks for your help so far guys.

2 things you need to take in mind and follow:

1) your calories are WAY TOO LOW! I counted not more then 2400cal a day, and for a 400lbs person even the lowest number would be 10 (400 x 10= 4000cal a day)
2)STICK with one diet...because you are jumping around too much, and you will not see results until your diet goes beyond 5 weeks, therefore, find 1 diet and stick to it.

I recommend you look into the 40/30/30 (protein/carbs/fat)
at 4000 cal a day...
1600 cal from protein= 400g protein (almost the same as you had) --yes, you can eat 400g prtn as long as you take milk thistle at high doses
1200 cal from carbs= 300 g carbs a day
LOW GI---Low-GI carbs: oatmeal, brown-rice, yams, beans, sweet-potato , pasta
1200 cal from Fat= 135 g fat a day
--make sure to eat A LOT of EFA's...walnuts are great

Another thing: you need to divided you daily calories into 8 meals due to your diabetes and binging, i.e (at 4000cal) that breaks down to 500 cal a mea...8 meals.

Mr.X

wow! mr.x i had no idea u where back!..... the thing with the zone i have never liked it...its in my eyes to much carbs...i think 20% is the max "i" would want...but man 4000 calories!!!! man are u kidding?!?! man last time u and i where talkin i think i was on a 2500 caloires and u said thats fine....did u forget i was over 400lbs!..lol...but man 4000 caloires wouldnt that be a bit to much? im just starting to again get back training and i do no cardio yet....i think a max of 3000 calories is ok......see heres my problem....i like eating keto foods, im a meat lover! ribs, wings, steak, ham, chicken all that good stuff! but every now and then i cheat and when i cheat i cheat hard u know.....im trying to stick to that diet i outlined and im craving my atkins foods :( would eating tkd be the best thing for a long time diet? feel free to PM me X .
