I thought that squats were bad for your knees and deadlifts were bad for your back?

I mainly only do leg presses and dbell rows...

Aren't they basically the same thing? I do some shrugs for variation from time to time.

its all about the cable rows and flyes....

Well, if I didn't do deads or squats... my workouts would suck...

It's lifts like that which get me excited... I just wish they had a lift like that for chest or arms... :(

The only type of squat he would do was partials on the smith machine:rolleyes:

Hey, does he train at my gym? I see "these guys" all the time!! The funny thing is, they think I'm impressed when I watch them, when in fact I am secretly laughing at them. Silly boys!:p

Squats are no doubt the key to overall mass. Every top pro(Yates, Cutler, Levrone, etc.) is or was able to handle 600-700+ lbs on the squat for reps.

some leg extension machines are isolated while some are compound.

depends on the machine..

squaats and dedadlifts, if done properly, will not damage your ligaments and/or joints. its only heavy lifting with improper form that will cause injuries.

also, squatts and deadlifts recruit dynamic, antagonist stabilizer muscles which the isolated machines dont.

Squats and deads have done wonders for me also...I just dont understand why so many people still dont do them?!?! Blows my mind, the pretty boys at the gym might break a sweat i guess
