Deadlifting my way to Happiness - Al420's log

Jump Shrugs:135x15, 185x10, 225x6, 275x5, 275x5
DB Shrugs:100's x10x2, 105x8

Squats felt really heavy today - really gotta watch my form and make sure I'm not leaning forward GM style - maybe donuts aren't the best fuel after all..lol. I am still feeling Jump Shrugs out - boy do you get some crazy ass looks from the moronowski's sauntering around the gym in there speedo'esque attire - me, sweating through my 10+ year old shirt and chalk all over my hands and the bar. It's a sight.

Trainer (bout 5'8" 150'ish): "Don't bounce or jump - use your muscles"
Trainee: "I read that this was a dynamic lift"
Trainer: "Whatever that means....., that is just some BS powerlifter crap"

He was doing cleans from the floor - funny shit. I went up to the trainee after I finished lifting and told him he was getting ripped off by his douchebag trainer. I asked him if he wanted to look like him and he said "No" very quickly - I replied w/ "nuff said". Fun times.

Just stop right now! Stop with those silly stories! The truth - This huge gay BB was in the locker room and you made some smart ass comment. The next thing you knew, you were on your ass because he had pushed you down to the ground. Then, like some little 1 year old you quickly hid in one of the showers and you rest I just don't feel comfortable talking about. That is the truth!!

a similar situation happened to me one day. i was doing PNF stretching and some trainer starting making fun of me and my brother to his client.

Good thing b/c I am not sure where my ab's are. They are there but are in hiding. FFquads was supposed to come to town this weekend - not sure if he is or not. Pics are coming soon as I need/want to do them.

Still fitting into all my 36" pants which is good considering I have put on almost 30lbs so far. :chomp:

Todays workout:

BTN Push Press:bar x alot, 95x5, 115x5, 135x5, 155x5, 160x5
Flat Bench:185x5x5 - weight will go up for this next week
DB Incline:60's x15x3

Did some tricep work as well - pushdowns. No way I could have done Skulls or anything else manly enought for this crowd, but none the less...........

People are really starting to ask me about my size. It is funny b/c some people are saying "I never noticed how big you are" while others say "you look uncomfortable". I just tell them to take notice and that my size is actually very comforting! :p

Why'd you keep the weight the same on flat?

With the way your other lifts are going up, I refuse to believe you couldn't have added at least a couple pounds. Keep the weight moving up, even if it's not by a large amount compared to the jumps you're able to make on squats/deads. :)
 
sweet....thats awesome you are up 30 lbs and still same jean size!! you must be shredding up pretty good....leaning out, packing the hard stuff on....whatever they say....lol

are you still on?

i'm about to go looking for some progress pix since you began this thing.....will i find any?
