Deadlifting my way to Happiness - Al420's log

true true, it IS all about the numbers.....and i'm pretty sure he's not "padding" them! :p

pics don't lie.

how is the cycle? matter of fact, what is your current cycle?

Remember that Al420 is working on strength and yes pics can lie. I know people that eat whatever they want, smoke cigs, drink all week, and at 210 lbs. can bench 550 lbs. By the way......this guy I'm talking about looks like shit, and no one would ever think he could be that strong.

Padding my numbers...lol. If I were I would have 20" guns and be hitting 315x12 on close grip!

Current cycle: Stallion Test E 250 EW, BD Andropen 275 EW, BD Deca 250 EW, kickstarted w/ Dbol for 3 weeks, also doing a year long GH run that just started in Mid Sept.

It is a lot of fun so far. Have about 5 weeks to go - then bridge i think.

LOL

that sounds like a fun cycle.....keep up the good work bro

Weight this AM: 237

Todays workout:

Front Squats:barx10, 135x10, 185x5, 225x5, 225x5, 245x1 - felt really heavy so I said fuck it. I know, :rainbow:
SLDL:135x10, 185x5, 225x5, 275x5, 315x4 - lower back twinged on rep 2 and again on rep 4 so I racked it. I typically belt up when I get to 275 or 315 depending on how I feel - no belt today.
Leg Ext: 6plates x8x4 - did these for fun I guess...might have been showing off for my old trainer. 6 plates is everything the machine will hold so it looks good at least. Please don't shun me for doing these..lol

I am working out everyday I feel like it, and taking days off as I need to. Not as structured as I would think I would like, but so far so good. I am relatively new to training lifts as opposed to bodyparts so I am still feeling out some lifts, etc.

I can't believe I didn't see this log before. This will get me fired up to get in there even on my lazy days, lol. Sounds like you are tearing the gym apart brother! When you get to be a guy your size, leg ext. are ok. It's those 150lb pricks who do nothing but leg ext for legs (if they even do that much for legs!) and a million cable crossovers for chest that piss me off. Great work, I'll be reading this from now on. Some of these logs are better than reading those bs muscle mags. At least the info is real world and true.

It feels like you took my heart and dropped it into a bucket of boiling tears and at the same time somebody else is hitting my soul with a frozen sledge hammer and then a third guy walks in and starts punching me in the grief bomb and no one can hear me because I am terribly, terribly, terribly alone.... :worried:

whoa.

somebody help this guy.....

:)

fronts can be a head fuck, even though it's not 'heavy' sometimes it feels like a ton when you walk it out the rack.

I do a walkout & support for 5 secs with 5 plates when I feel like that, then go back to the working weight afterwards and it almost always feels like nothing.

Might just try that - with 3 plates!

Todays workout:

Deadlifts:135x10, 225x5, 275x5, 315x5, 335x5, 365x3 - felt weak and was supposedto do rack pulls today but the rack's lowest position at the location I visited is about 24" so after a few sets there I decided to take them to the floor.
HS Low Row:2plates x10, 4x8, 6x5x3
Wide Grip Lat Pull Down: 135x10, 165x7x4
HS Seated Rear Delt:2plates x10, 4x10, 6x5x3
Jump Shrugs:135x10, 225x10, 275x5x3 - still can't get these to feel like I think they should.

My back is getting dense from all this pulling, but it is looking a tad rounded so I am trying to add in some of the above in hopes of pulling my shoulders back a bit. We will see. Did some RC work as well and decline abs - BWx20x3 -adding 10lbs to these this week.
