Am i doing enough sets for all the bodyparts?

Robboe:

no its for muscle growth,,,what would be an ideal volume then for muscle growth.

rriis:

been doing complementing muscle groups ever since i started working out, just trying something new now, i put legs 2x a wk cause i need to get some size on the wheels

kunta [interesting name btw]

'ideal' for me will most likely be argued by others so i'll give you a 'general' instead.

Train each body part once a week directly.

3 exercises for large parts, 2 for small.

2 sets per exercise.

use this 'generalised' rule, reconstruct your routine and post it for further criticism [if it is necessary].

kunta.......what part of florida?also,i agree with robboe,i train my major muscle once a week and small ones like calves, side delts, twice.......been doing it for years and works for me...

I do personally perform HIT the way that mentzer/Yates described but i don;t preach it. It takes a lot of intensity to grow from it and most people don;t see results because they don;t put enough intensity in. Of course, some people just have the genetics for high volume.

what i gave as advice was too much volume in the eyes of a HITer.

i find that 2 sets per exercise is what it takes because the intensity required for one set beyond failure is immense.
