CKD diet......give critique

ok...so i'm going to give this diet a try just to mix things up :)

mon-fri

meal 1 protein shake and fish oil

meal 2 5 whole eggs

meal 3 2 cheeseburgers without bun

meal 4 tuna w/ mayo

meal 5 2 cheesburgers without bun

meal 6 chicken, veggies

meal 7 2 scoops anpb


macros look like 270g pro 16g carbs 178 g fat

sat and sun

i'll interchange the beef with chicken
i'll take out alot of the fat and try to keep it less then 30g and switch with alot of oatmeal and alot of brown rice and alot of pasta


i'm 27 5'9 weight 169 lbs about 11.5% bf as of this morning

Without taking macros into concideration i'd add more veggies... but then it won't be so much CKD, I guess.... you need more fiber I'm sure.

Physillum (sp?!) Fiber supplement then possibly.

I'd switch Meal 2 and 1... whole food in you right away (big proponent of whole food).

Extra Virgin Olive Oil would be an excellent good fat source too (on chicken? ... maybe even on tuna instead of mayo [hydrogenated...bad]?)

Almonds too... doesn't have to be daily, but switch things up so you don't get bored...rotate meals daily, ect.
 
good thinking with the olive oil...i'll throw it on the chicken

gonna be taking fish oil 2x a day as well
 
anyone else that has done this diet before??? bueller?? anyone...something D O O economics...anyone??? VOODOO ECONOMICS
 
I know very little about CKD (have never tried it myself) but what I normally read is that macros for fdat should be up there in the 80% range (that is a lot). How many carbs you can "cheat in" to achieve ketosis is a very individual thing, some people can take more than others and still be in ketosis.

careful with the veggies, those are carbs, the same with the protein shake (read that entire lable up and down)

Ghede has tried the CKD (like everything else it seems, lol) before with goods results, you could do much worse than PM him a couple of quick questions.

Yes, I have done Anabolic, BodyOpus, Atkins, FatFast ala Mr. X, Not So Natural.... been there... you are at 11.5%? at that relatively low BF you might benefit from a modified Calorie/Carb Cycling diet and a bit of tweaked HIIT rather than a CKD...


Questions: you in a hurry? if so, why so? is there something about a CKD that appeals to you? what? What diet are currently on that isnt working? if it is working, why fix it?

Your macros add up to 2746 cals... at your height and weight are you sure thats what you want? What are you goals for this CKD?

I'm in the middle of a CKD...just be careful when you do carb-up days...I tend to get bloated and feel like crap after having carbs...

Check this CKD calculator from Mr. X/jnuts to help you figure out where your macro ratios should be...
