Chest workouts holding back my triceps?

I've been doing the 5X5 routine for the past few weeks and have progressed for my large muscle groups nicely. My current split is Chest/Tri, Back/Bi, Shoulder/Leg. The problem is that after doing intense chest workouts, I have little left to get a good tricep workout, hence there has been a lack of progression and growth in my triceps. I understand that triceps and chest work together, so is my current split okay as long as by the end of the day my triceps are tired? Or should I change my routine in a way so that I can work my tris harder? Thanks a lot :D

Lord_Suston's is a good split for 5x5.

With "regular" reps and sets you could get away with it but if you are doing 5x5 then 2x8-10, 2x8-10 on your Tri's after Chest for example, I think you are overtraining them

FYI, im on:

Mon - Legs
Tues - Chest
Wed - Rest
Thurs - Shoulders / Back
Fri - Bi / Tri

thanx for all the help. Fatrat, wanted to ask, how is it doing bi/tri on the same day? isn't it tough b/c they are opposite motions?
