Blut Wumps Another 25

Do you know what might have caused it? Anything you think you ought to cook more? I sometimes have chicken 4 days after I've defrosted it, but, touch wood (taps side of head), I've been ok so far.
No, I've always been paranoid about sniffing meat and discarding anything that didn't smell absolutely good.

My dear spouse is sometimes (ok, often nay typically) lax with keeping dog stuff away from human stuff and it's possible that her laxness finally overcame my diligence but I don't know. The dogs suffered badly with campylobacter a couple of months back and I'm suspecting some transference that way.

Nothing much I can do but buy in extra paper and wait for the results. ;)

Sorry you're not feeling well. Sometimes I get lactose intolerant - for example I drank a big glass of 2% last week when I usually drink skim - and it's no fun.

Hope everything comes out alright

Everything is certainly coming out.

I took a small nosedive today so they've finally given me the anti-biotics rather than wait for the results of the tests. It seems that my extra symptoms were adequate to convince them to concur with my diagnosis. My wife's worried now. :(

One of the known possible side-effects of the medication is diarrhoea. :p

Regarding the state of this log: I don't anticipate hitting the gym this week, although it could happen towards the end of the week but, given that the anti-biotic can induce confusion, dizzyness etc., I doubt it'll happen. As such, this run of the 5x5 is over. I'll have gone a fortnight without training by next week and this, on top of the previous patchy fortnight, kind of squashes things.

trust me, you'll come back strongly and get into PR territory sooner than you expect it. for one thing, you won't be feeling jaded when you come in again. BTW, what does the doc mean by saying old guys should get upset stomach's more often?! doesn't he know who he's talking to?! tell him who he's talking to! ;)

He was just a locum doctor yesterday. When I phoned today I got the regular doc and he listened to my new symptoms and just agreed that I have a campylobacter infection and said he'd do a scrip for me to go and collect. Ignoring the odd flu and a couple of strep throats, I think this is the first time I've been sick enough to ask for medical attention. I just don't know the ropes. I always reckoned that it'd be good to save all my anti-biotic receptors for my dotage. ;)

Wow, that sucks, if it's any consolation I know all to well about being bound to the toilet for weeks on end (UC).

Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and you'll be back 100%.

Well, I don't feel ill today. I think I might go for a walk.

I got weighed and came in at 120.4Kg (264.8 lbs). All my precious weight down the toilet.

yea that sucks, especially just after a cycle. i once got some kind of infection near my eye during my PCT once. the doc prescribed me some antibiotics, to which i developed a mild allergic reaction... the skin specialist i went to described it as a drug rash. lasted a few days, with mild fever, after which i lost almost all gains from the cycle
