i think i am going to vomit...
Talk about being strong... I went to my anthro class at cornell university this morning (talk about a fucking brainwash) and I can't believe, CAN'T FREAKIN BELIEVE, that the lecturer had the gall to slam the US foreign policy and rag on george bush. I agree that bush ain't the brightest monkey, but it wasn't his fault this happened. she said that only the people who did this are evil - well i think the people that are harboring these fucks are just as evil. She went on to say how she would never die for a belief or a country... then went on to say the only person she would die for was her daughter. well i got some fucking news for her - if her daughter was in the wtc she'd be thinking differently. she was basically slamming everyone who has died for their country in order to preserve the FUCKING PEACE SHE HAS ENJOYED. GAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH! I can't believe all the little sheep in that class were just nodding along. Some peruvian girl was like "yea, the US doesn't help her country and its 90% poor - they only want to help people they can get things from in return"... while that is true, who ever said it was our responsibility to help every country that has poor people - they don't even want to help themselves half the time. I was seriously going to throw up in class because everyone was just jumping on the bandwagon and slamming the US. After what happened yesterday, i can't FUCKING believe that people could be so anti-patriotic. Does anyone love our country anymore? i'm shaking with anger writing this. I walked out of the lecture hall in the middle of this tom foolery as some puerto rican guy was using the open discussion to tell everyone how he and his country have been treated like shit by the us. you know, i'm sorry that the US has done bad things, but all in all this is a remarkable nation comprised of remarkable individuals. It is a nation that does have liberty as its cornerstone. If people can't come together behind their country after such a tragic event better than was displayed in anthro 101 at cornell commie university, then they should seriously think about all the people who have died for the daily freedoms they enjoy - if they believe these people were foolish to die for a cause they believed in, then they should move the fuck out of this free country and see how much freedom they can get elsewhere. This professor even went on to say that the american public is so out of touch with the government - i hate to break it to her, but that is by public choice. The fact is less people care about government today than ever, there has always been government coverup in the us, as far back as day one, what has changed is the public's attitude toward government - to turn the tables and say that it's the government's fault we are out of touch is fucking ridiculous. I couldn't stand this woman leading a discussion that almost seemed to condemn us more than the people who did this. I agree, using terms like "bomb all the ragheads" is completely immature and uneducated. What i didn't agree with was this woman telling a bunch of impressionable KIDS what she felt was right and wrong about fighting for what you believe in and dissing our country and its government. I doubt as many people felt as strongly as i did - i was the only one who left (seriously feeling sick to my stomach) - and it makes me ill that many of these kids haven't developed a strong sense of who they are or what they believe in and go to a fucking ivy league school so they can be innundated with crap like this! GAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH. I think my blood pressure is going to kill me any minute now.
In closing. I love my country. I love this board. I respect all you guys and feel that EF has provided a great forum for people like me to vent all the frustrations i am having, being in new york and having to deal with tragedy and now this stuff. I'm not reigious in the least, but nothing can really better summarize my hopes:
GOD BLESS AMERICA!
