It's not that bad, fruits for the most part are filled with antioxidants, micro nutrients, fiber and yes some sugar. However about 30% of the sugar is Fructose, meaning that a Banana with 33g of carbs would have 9g of Fructose. When Hypocaloric (cutting) you glycogen (Muscle and Liver) stores will never be filled, so eat up as long as you can fit the cals into you day. Most fruits are low GI as well, which is another positive. Although a few are hi GI, watermelom etc..
>>> Like I said , antioxidants , fiber , vitamins , minerals , we all have pills for that . And to the guy that asked if it is not better to get it from food instead of pills , no it is not , it has been proved that the effects are the exact SAME . So ...
Back to bananas , you are wrong about the ratio , 33 g of carbs which will give you around 15 g of fructose and 17 g of GLUCOSE . That is 33 g of SUGAR . Most of the fruits are like that , so , 99 % of the FRUITS are HIGH GLYCEMIC CARBS , I really don't know where did you get the idea of fruits being LOW GLYCEMIC . Fruits are high glycemic but they don't make you release that much insulin just like honey so they won't make you fat though , but I still don't see the point .
One could argue that since it fills liver glycogen it helps t4 conversion to t3 , and that would be good for fat loss , but still ...I would not use fruits when trying to get CUT , and neither when bulking .
So , it will help FILL LIVER AND MUSCLE GLYCOGEN . YES it will , but my MAIN concern is FILL my muscles glycogen ONLY , specially when cutting . So , why the hell I will eat something that will ALSO fill up my LIVER glycogen ???
NO POINT .
