are u always suppose to lift heavy low reps on squats ALWAYS

k
am going to the gym right now and try the 135 as much as I can...maybe I can get close to a 100
but do I need to do only one set?
can I also do a little front squats after?

Sure you can...keep your form strict, and just keep going until you.reach 100, if you have to pause to let the burn subside at times by all means, just push yourself. If you have juice left after those the yes hit front squats for 4 sets of 8-10 and kill them off, or some presses. A good finisher is also extensions with the 2 second hold and squeeze at the top, on last rep hold until failure. Enjoy!

Drop sets r awesome on every muscle group once in a while. Adds intensity and with squats you will learn what u r made of

That is the truth! My partners used to bring an empty bucket and sponge and set it at the squat rack for first one who puked...the sponge was for wiping your face :D

I would train your legs just like any other muscle.

i like to go hard and heavy and smash them, and then another workout go high rep and low weight. work both the red and white fibers.

squats, deads, carrying weights up a hill or stairs.. all compound lifts are excellent for the legs.

I luckily have never puked came close though especially when we squat drop sets in my buds garage with the doors open metallica blasting and 100degrees outside. People think we r nuts

you do have to have a big set of lungs for 100 reps as well. so If you dont do alot of cardio like me. you lungs will give out before your legs do.

With lifting never use the work always. Switch it up. I do 25 rep squauts 80% of the time. It helps growth for me. Big time. But I still do 3-5 rep squats every once in a while. Legs respond better to higher reps. Its proven. Also muscle builds from contracting, if your giving 100% for 3 reps youre not contracting. at all.

I do partially agree. I depends on you body type. I myself do not do any squats over 8 reps. mostly in the 4 to 6 range and heavy and always have done that.
My legs are just under 29 inches. So I feel a body type will dictate type of squatting that will work for you.

I agree with this. My legs try and stay lean which really pisses me off and i have found lower reps higher weight tend to work better for me.
