Hello:
I'm sorry to hear about this. I, myself, lost a little girl who was four months old...no matter if it's a live child like mine or a miscarriage earlier then 12 weeks...it is still one of the hardest things they'll ever experience. One thing some women do, is name the child whom was miscarried..so as to give it an identity. Often, as hard as this is, referring to it as "the baby" or even "the fetus" often makes things MORE difficult. Perhaps they should see a perinatal/fertility type specialist just for a consult to get some ideas about what's going on. Often, miscarriages are simply from genetic issues with the baby, so they spontaneously abort. It's rough..and I'm so sorry because they are suffering and you feel helpless to help them. That's the worst part..everyone wants to help, but no one really can, but to give advice and condolences. No amount of words will help the pain though. ;(
