I wouldn't mind hearing what you think would be the best diet style to couple with a stimulant assisted cut, Lartinos.
I think your diet is your diet and whether or not you use stimulants should not effect it much in any way. Unless of course you are using tons of stims and are looking for a way to reduce the cortisol levels in your body. In that case giving your body a break is the best way anyway.
In terms of diet, I often hear people say "I'm on a diet" and then I see them eat like complete shit right in front of me.
My point is is that there is a ton of ignorance in terms of dieting. Even though I think people who just reduce their calories are silly because it is not the best route I do not really think they are stupid. Reason being is that there are different levels of dieting. For a beginner who doesn't even understand the difference between a carb and a protein I think an elementary diet that just limits calories (portions for the most part) is a good way to get started and can result in some weight loss. Long term it will plateau and you will never get that fitness model type look unless you have incredibly terrific genetics. The other extreme are zero carb diets which are so extreme that if you do not compete or are not a pycho into BB it is extremely hard to cope with. A good diet that will get very good results is just about educating yourself on certain things. For one thing the power of insulin. It is the transporting hormone and is why zero carb diets are so effective.
The carbs that we eat increase this hormone which shuttle nutrients.
"Insulin causes cells in the liver, muscle, and fat tissue to take up glucose from the blood, storing it as glycogen in the liver and muscle.
Insulin stops the use of fat as an energy source. When insulin is absent, glucose is not taken up by body cells and the body begins to use fat as an energy source, for example, by transfer of lipids from adipose tissue to the liver for mobilization as an energy source. As its level is a central metabolic control mechanism, its status is also used as a control signal to other body systems"
So the point is that you want to limit your carbs and make sure you are getting the right kinds of carbs when you do take them in. Also use the glycemic index which can easily be googled if you unsure of the quality of the food you are about to ingest.
Vegetables such as spinach and asparagus are lower on the glycemic index and are therefore better for people who are dieting. Next I think that another important thing about dieting is understanding how to read nutrional information on labels.
Very important to read the amount of total carbs and how they rate on the glycemic index as it is also imporant to subtract the amount of fiber from the total carbs. This is where the term net carbs came about. Remember that fiber is crucial to a dieter and most any BB because it helps keeps us full, is an insoluble form of carbohydrate (cannot be absorbed by the body), and also slows absorbtion which actually increases protein synthesis.
Also when reading a nutritional label it is also vitally important to read the total amount of fat that is present.
This is another spot that people get quite confused. Reason being that there is a huge difference between saturated fats, polyunsaturated fats, and monunsaturated fats. Saturated fats will make you fat and unhealthy overall. The only saturated fat that you can eat come from coconut oil which actually has a different composition than other saturated fats. Trans fats are the worst and you just want to stay away from products that have words like "partially hydrogenated.." as they are not what you want. Sugars and trans fat are snuck into many foods so becareful when you go grocery shopping because this is where your dieting will be won or lost. Monosaturated and polysaturated fats are good for you and are your omega-3's and omega-6's rescptively. Omega-6's are much much more common in the western diet so you need to make another effort to try and incorporate more omega-3's. Fish such as Tuna and others, various kinds of nuts, and omega eggs are prime examples. All supermarkets carry omega eggs by the way and they cost a few cents more and naturally contain less saturated fats so that you do not just have to eat gross egg whites all the time. Not to mention it is proven through a study that the yokes in eggs actually make you stay fuller for more of an extended amount of time as compared to other foods. So by keeping your essential fat intake at a decent level and your fiber intake high hunger should not be an issue.Overloadiing on essential fats is a great way to add mass but you want to intake them at a realistic level or you can increase your overall body fat.
By reading various labels you will see that fiber intake is extremely hard to get without supplementation. I am not a fan of fiber pills in any way. Even if they do contain the preferred type of fiber in psyllium seed husks you will need to take a bazillion pills and bottles run out quickly and aren't cheap. Instead buy it by the cannister which is easier to take, lasts way longer, and is much more economical. There are other great effects of insoluble fiber as well. It has been associated with decreased cardiovascular risk and slower progression of cardiovascular disease in risk individuals.
I will just end with a brief take on cardio. Do your cardio based on the results you seek. If you are way more concerned with dropping weight even if a little muscle might be lost then go ahead and do high intensity cardio. If you are concerned with muscle loss then keep your cardio at a less intense pace. If you ever feel dizzy at some point of dieting you have a few options. I say this now as it usually occurs when you are doing your cardio. The reason that you are feeling dizzy is quite possibly because you are running a very low carb diet and your body is changing fuel sources from carbs to fats. If you ride it out this dizzyness it will disappear after about three days and you will be burning fat and getting awesome results. Going hypo is not a good feeling as you feel tired, weak, and focusing can be tough. To remedy this just carb up a little if you don't like it. Remember to just take in a lower glycemic carb as opposed to table sugar and such that will not be necessary and good hurt your gains in the long run. Dieting to me is about education of these above things and really having a passion for your goals. It takes a great amount of dedication to get the results you want and you will not ever really be a believer until you really go full force into this and see the kind of results that are absolutely possible. These are just my opinions off the top of my head and I hope that I helped you guys out.
