"a cop pulled me over and I got out of a getting ticket" stories

here is mine:

I was going home and making a U-turn. Someone ahead of me honked a horn. I just finish the U-turn and get stuck behind this van that was going 35 mph at a 50 mph speed limit and follow him too close. I pull in the appartment complex (where I used to live) and a cop car is right behind me. He asked me if I have a problem with the guy driving the van (wtf?), cause he thought I honked the horn. Then he was telling me that I followed him too close (I told the cop that the van was driving 35 at 50!!!) and advised me that I should've change the lane, pass him and get in front of him (then he woulda give me a fat ticket for road rage). When I told him that I wouldnt do that cause I was putting my daughter in danger, he told me my windows are tinted tood dark. The damn thing was trying to find a reason to give me a ticket!!!! Well - he didnt

Most of these stories will be from women, cops dont let guys out of tickets.. and judges rarely do.
not to rain on your parade, but i got a female cop once upon a time who let me off a ticket. a BAD ticket. a "go to court. go directly to court. do not pass go, do not collect $200 on the way to court" type ticket...and then her male partner came over, told me that my registration had run out (instant fine, potentially get the car towed away as its illegal to drive) and before i could tell him that the new sticker was actually in the glove box, he said "good night, sir"

damn right it was a good night. i left skidmarks getting out of there ;)

I have had at least two occurences when a cop looked at me (in a completely drunken state behind the wheel) and noted, "Wow, you are really fucked up!". And let me go. Makes you wonder.

not true. My husband always gets out of tickets. One night he was piss drunk and there was a cop right behind him. So, he pulled over and asked the cop: "Where is Dequinder rd?" The cop showed him and left. Another time he blew a red light and he pulled over at a gas station. The cop came and asked him why he pulled over. My husband told him - cause I knew you would. Still, no ticket. A friend of ours (a guy) got pulled over for speeding and said he had to go home a take a shit - no ticket

LOL you have VERY lucky male friends.

I dont know a single guy who has gotten out of one.. but maybe cops in Cali are different..

they take this shit persoonalyl out here, like they work on commission..

the first day I got my first car I was trying to be cool infront of my friends and i was doing 60mph in a 25. cop pulled me over and scared the shit out of me , he is like "you know this is a 400 dollar ticket and 3 points on your license" ...i think he saw the look of terror on my face and then he goes" im all out of tickets so I'm gonna mail yours to you"...he never sent it.

and I got out of 2 DUI's , once with a careless driving ticket and another time with no ticket at all. and yes I learned my lesson.

i never get out of tickets

A cop once pulled me over when I was 16 and asked me how old I was. When I told him he said, "Oh, so you aren't Michael Andretti?!". I have received 2 speeding tickets in my day - one I got thrown out in court and the other I did not. I have probably been pulled over at least a dozen times.

lol@ my ticket history

1.speeding 70mph in a 35
2.Illegal left turn
3.improper display of plates (driving my friends beamer with his gay ass european plates)
4.speeding 110 in a 55 ( 5 points, 500 bucks)
5.reckless driving (reduced to careless driving)
6.leaving the scene of an accident (still have to go to court for that one)

i had 9 points at one point , i think im down to 1 point right now .

I was doing 100km in a 60 zone.. Cop was in an unmarked car..

pulled me over.. Said, miss can i see your drivers license and insurance..

I gave it to him and pretended to be nervous..

He asked me what was wrong.. I told him that I was just relieved he was a cop.. He asked why.. I told him that I had noticed him following me a while back and got concerned for my safely and was speeding in order to get away from him.

He looked at my license and said oh you look young for your age, told me his name and then proceeded to tell me he worked at the police station down the road.

After a few minutes of talking he told me he was off in a few hours and asked if I wanted to swing by the precinct with a few of my friends for a tour.

He gave me his name and his number and told me to give him a call later, and let me go on my way…

It was an interesting pull over... but if your a chick it happens all the time

I've only gotten pulled over once-- for running a red light. I was cying so much (which is why I ran it in the first place) that the cop just looked at me like "Oh God you're a mess I don't want to deal with this" and just let me go without even mentioning the light.

Fucking pathetic. This is why I NEVER went for the whole idea that women have it rough in this world or are discriminated against. Women get SO MUCH handed to them just for having a box it's amazing.

HMMM i agree in some areas your right..

Not some - all. Nobody can ever convince me otherwise. I see women everyday in my line of work get ahead simply because they are decent looking or flirt or act like helpless little dipshits. We need to call off the entire women's rights movement cause they get the world handed to em on a silver platter (which also says a lot about the guys that give it to em).

OMG MissFit you were so lucky...lol

my sister got pulled over by some cops without uniform and gave them attitude until they showed her their badge. Later the same night they saw her driving the small streets and pulled her over again and she told them that she was taking her friend home, but there is someone in front of the entrance and she is scared. So, the cops took her home and my sister go.

A State Patrollman found a bowl in my car one time after he pulled me over for speeding. After ransacking my car he gave it back to me, made me dismantle it (it was one of those metal ones you can take apart), and let me keep it. He still gave me the speeding ticket but I didn't much care at that point. I just wanted the fuck outta there!

In the same respect.. it pisses me off that i am not always taken seriously at work...for this exact reason..

At work i think it should be based on merit..not what you look like.. i went to college and university and sometimes i feel like i should've just twirled my hair a bit longer and not wasted all that $ and effort.

agreed. it works both ways. but my point is that all you ever hear from most women's advocates is the point you just expressed - they never seem to mention or acknowledge al lthe advantages. in my mind, one washes the other right out.

i know the advatanges and don't doubt them.. but i would like to be taken serious in my field of work and sometimes know that my apperance..hinders that.. especially because i have taken the time to educate myself and want to actually "work"

I left my last role because i wasn't taken seriously and came to this company... but came against the same wall..

The way i look at it is this; i might look alright now.. but in 10 years what then.. i need a better basis than.. 'i'm cute look at me."

Do you know what im trying to say?

I've already acknowledged that I completely understand (as much as a man can). But as I said, it works both ways. I see it every day. So yeah, it sucks what you are saying, but it also works to your advantage. In a perfect world, neither would happen and you would be judged on merit, as you said.

A friend of mine (doctor, husband, father of two, no criminal record)

Once drove about 10 MPH where about 30 was allowed and swirled over the road a bit and got stopped by the police. They asked him to get out of the car. He was dressed in suit and with the symbols of our fraternity (hes an alumni who attended one of our parties) He tried to step out of the car but just fell on the road and fell asleep.

He had to go to the station but never did any time or paid any fine.I still don´t know how he did it
