6'5" 225 lbs. ~24%BF Trying for 13-14% by Jun 1st...need advice on diet!!

Never heard of that. From what I know, the body compensates for getting less calories by burning muscle and lowering calorie requirements. So if for 6 days you eat 2400 calories then your body will adjust a bit. If you eat 4000 on the 7th day your body will still be adjusted to your 2400 calorie diet.

But then again that one 4000 calorie day might tell your body that it is getting enough calories again and your metabolism might go back up.

But in the end, I say keep it simple. If I'm not 100% sure that a 4000 calorie 7th day helps I'd stick with what I know works, 2400 calorie day.
 
I have had more success on my diets with cheat meals then without..I can stay away if I want, but liked to enjoy a nice meal every now and then..

if you can control yourself, go for it bro

exactly....stay true to your diet all week and then give yourself a reward meal.

I'm the other way. The longer you stay away from cheat foods the easier it is to stay away from cheat foods. No need to add temptations.

Overall I like your diet. I would add more greens. Do you like brocolli? Add about 3 giant bowls of raw or lightly steamed brocolli and replace some of that brice rice with 6 tbps of flax oil and I think you have a solid meal plan. Be sure and take a weekly cheat day or half a day (usually best on one of your days off from work or school) and make sure it is always the same day of the week, in order to keep your metabolism elevated. 5X5 is a decent routine for cutting as it will help you preserve lbm. Avoid high volume isolation heavy routines when cutting unless you are on tons and tons of gear... in which case it does not really matter if you have a good routine or not.
 
people who usually oist about cheating before they even frickn begin dieting usually crumble. trust me....there are wayyyyy too many ways to make clean food taste like cheats. I got my girl on my prebed shake that she swears has ice cream and hot fudge in it......egg whites intl splenda sf chc syrup and almnds

I haven't cheated in 7 yrs ...now that its the true offseason for me....my gury is forcing me to have two a week for added cals n a shock to my metoblism aka put me ovet 6 % and mke me lose the cuts so I can focus on pure mass for a oct 07 show........gl brutha......just my .02ml


also 2lbs a week loss should be your goal howver at your current status it wouldn't be unheard of for you to drop 2 to 3 % poiints and 10lbs rt out the gate.....be patient....jan 31 if you've been on point the entire time with no cheats well treat yourself 100 to 1 you won't feel like it....buzz me if u want some incredible recipes.......evet had oatmeal that tastes like banana cheesecake but better? lol

7am Wake Up
Total Whole Wheat Cereal Skim Milk Banana
4 Egg Whites

10am Whey Shake

12pm 6oz Tuna/grilled Chicken Breast/turkey Breast
Salad

2pm Fruit (apple Pear Etc)

5pm Grilled Chicken Breast/turkey Breast/tuna


Gym 6-8
1hr Cardio
1hr Weight Trainning

1tsp All Naty Pb
2oz Cottage Cheese.


Will This Work
