60 day fat loss journey

My change to vegetarian?

Well to begin I ALWAYS have heart burn, which isn't natural, that and acid reflux sucks when it comes up, esp if your out with friends or something because ya just can't have fun.

So..my friend who is vegetarian told me he used to have heart burn and it stopped when he turned vegetarian, I was skeptical

Then, a few of my friends I train MMA with went vegetarian and their cardio seemed to increase and they became leaner, keeping the same strength, it seemed as if they were so much more relentless then they used to be.

So I gave it a shot 2 months ago, and the difference I feel, I don't think I"ll ever eat meat again. I haven't had heart burn since, and I've ate 2 big slices of a vegetarian pizza and went to bed(this would ALWAYS cause it) but nothing. Also, I notice my body lasting longer in training. I can keep going and going, I feel a lot better, I never feel bloated and I have energy for days. I work a pretty stressful job and I don't find it fatigues me now like it used to. This could all be a placebo effect, I have no medical evidence to back up my good feelings, but I do feel better.

Diet is still tricky, but I love to cook and lots of vegetarian meals are delicious, I still supplment with a protein shake or 2 a day. But thats it

Yeah I would never switch to veggie diets, I hate most of them but I choke them down. They still argue that humans werent made to eat meat, but I cant imagine eating nothing but plants all day...Look at me im eating leaves, super strong I am! Eh, no thanks, but glad it works for some people!

i can see why you would feel like you last longer in mma. meats take 2-8 hours to digest i believe depending what it is. where as lots of veggies take under an hour to digest. even if u had a steak 4 hours before class its still drainin u a little bit. i personally just couldnt do it. i hate veggies. i eat em, but i dont like it. and i dont get heart burn so i have no physical ailments

If we weren't made to eat meat, we wouldnt be hunting animals for the past 10,000 years.

We;re not lions, and supposidaly humans began hunting meat because veggies were hard to grow or some shit, I honeslty don't know and I could debate a lot longer on why NOT to be vegetarian then why TO BE one so yas don't even have to start lol. And I was ignorant to the situation too, I don't enjoy veggies but it's not liek you think. I thought, if I eat steak, potatoes and a salad, then a vegetarian meal would be just the salad and potatoes. Not the case. there are lots of delicious vegetarian recipes and if any of you guys would like to try soime I would gladly email you the recipes. If not I don't care, I'm not going to and never will force people to be vegetarian or criticize people who eat meat. Freedom of choice.
But as I mentiond, I do feel a physical difference in sparring, I don't feel "sluggish" I guess you could say.

My next log I'm thinking about including what I ate as well as supplements. Prob be starting Monday.

It's not as easy... but with nutritional science today... there is really NO reason why we can't live without meat... it's just easier to eat a hunk of flesh...
