5x5 Leg Session

I’m going to start 5x5 after a week off (in the sun, yer! ;) ) next week and want to continue to bring up my Hams. I have been working hard to increase my weight in Stiff Leg Deads which has been going well, and I want to keep it going…

What would you guys think of doing something like this on Leg day:

5x5 Squats
3x5 SLDL
2x8-10 Another Leg ex
2x8-10 Another Leg ex
2x15 Calf work

To much? Better to just do it as a 2x8-10 or not?

Any thoughts appreciated…

So you want to bring up your hams the most? Everything looks good and I'd make those two other leg excercises Leg Curls and Hacks or Leg Presses.

What I am making gains on is the following

5x5 box squats
2x8-10 machine leg press
2x8-10 leg extensions

5x5 SLDL
2x8-10 machine ham curls (one where u sit)
2x8-10 Good Mornings

I always feel like im going to die at the end :)

Straight legged deads work my hams and lower back. Personally I consider lower back and down to be all part of leg day for me :)

I wasn’t looking to concentrate solely on Hams, but wanted to make sure that I was continuing to build on the SLDL progress that I have made. I thought by doing them in the 3x5 style, this would help to maintain this constant progression of strength. SLDL’s are placed squarely in my Leg training rather than Back.

For my 8-10’s, I was planning to change exercises each week, mixing up Leg Press, Hacks, Leg extension and curls. Is this not recommended?

today i did

5x5 regualer squat
2x8 hack squat
2x8 SLDL

5x5 seated calf press ( im trying it to see if it works )
2x8 single leg standing calf press
2x8 both leg standing calf press

thats my legs, i added a little back work but thats off topic. I felt tired but not destroyed.
