16 lbs in three weeks?

Hey, as some of you may know, i just got back from a long lay off due to some hospital time and travelling. Before that i was 200lbs with abs when flexed. Im a 19 year old male. About 6 foot even.
When i got back home i was 178! Now after some serious lifting... and eating.
Three weeks later im 193.5 lbs and acording to the abs im still the same bf% i was when i got back
Was that just a huge case of muscle memory?
or alot of water retention?...if so why the massive ammounts of water retention all of the sudden?

btw, im a natural trainer. and my program focus's on
squat, deadlift, bench, pushpress with 5x3 for most exercises

It's sounds like muscle memory, age and you know what the hell your doing! DAMMIT!!! Only if I knew then. <slams keyboard with fist and walk off in discust>

I think the water retention might be from you bulking (eating) I eat a lot all the time so i hold a lot of water somtimes, nothing a water pill cant cure.
 
There was a study done (which I dont have) that compared the bench press of hydrated and dehydrated young men. It would seem logical that taking a water pill to flush the water out, would decrease strengh (think what happens during a keto diet). But thats just my speculation
 
hmmm... ill have to experiment with this.
My power to bodyweight ratio is what really matters to me.
So ill see what works best.
how much are "water pills"
can anyone reccomend a good one?
 
water pills are anywhere from 5-10$ for a generic brand, Xenadrene EFX is a safe form of water pill. but cost about 20-25$ a bottle
 
depends on your body fat, and wether you want to diet or not, it will make you lose water weight without sacrificing any muscle.
I dont diet, for every three pounds of fat lost it takes a pound of muscle away from it.
