The reason I said that is because it is becoming commonplace for people to point to situations like this and say "see? A gun wouldnt have helped here - concealed carry is worthless and dangerous"

Now, I'm not saying that you said that, I was just pointing out that this isnt always the type of scenario that youre trying to stop with a concealed carry - we cant forget about regular crime as well.

You also have to be a resident of a state for 90 days at least to purchase a gun there. So if you're saying that legal aliens could purchase weapons in another state I believe thats not the case

Right, thats what I'm saying. In the case of aurora, probably would not have helped. In the case of everyday crime, they can be very helpful.
