I think you are wrong here also. there is no federal law for state residency, and state law will vary from state to state. A drivers license usually suffices to show place of residency. In Virginia, the Driver license issue date must be at least 30 days prior to the gun sale, thats all. Other states don't even care when the license was issued. Other states only have residency requirements for hand guns, not rifles etc. Is that what you meant to say?
