If Oxycontin and Percocet are the same thing, why is Oxycontin the big story on 20/20 and "60 Minutes" if Percocet has been around for years??? Because people aren't OD'ing on Percs maybe??? Why do people snort Oxycontin to get a high similar to Heroin and not Percocet? Because Percocet has APAP in it, and you don't want to snort that shit--DUH Storm Shadow said he tried both after severe injuries. Have you tried both? So, I guess you have to be a genius to know what APAP is. I actually do not know what APAP is. I guess I'm not a genius like you. I know there is percocet and percodan. One has Tylenol w/ Oxycodone and the other has Aspirin w/ Oxycodone. You are just dying to show the world what a fucking goof you are. Let's go back to your first post, Mr. Big Know-it-all. We're all a bunch of "bubble-gummers." People who've taken pain killers for actual pain can't get by you. You are the expert because you've tried both.

Zerxes, you are correct is saying that they are the same. they are both oxycodone, just that one is in a time-released form. But, when storm shadow stated that he got addicted to percs and not oxys, this can be a true statement, can it not? this statement does not make him uneducated about the drug, nor does it make him a fucking stupid moron. I guess you can look at it like this, if someone says they are addicted to drinking beer, but not hard liquor, you are still an alcoholic, but his statement still wasnt false.

ok i was in a major car accident in august and have been prescribed every pain med possible.
they started me on hydrocodone which did nothing for pain but made me hyper.
i was taking that with 2000mg neurontin, 10mg bextra,zanaflex plus sleeping meds and still in pain.
then they switched me too oxycontins 5mg tablets.i needed like 4 of these too reduce the pain slightly but the doc said thats too much aspirin and i need a higher dose without the apap.
so then i got 20mg oxys but for some reason the brand i got didnt agree with me.
too make a long story short i have a shitload of these things laying around but dont even touch them.i didnt even like the way they made me feel and yes i have an addictive personality.
everyone is diff.some people get addicted too certain substances faster than others do.
i dont even see what the hype about these things are.
they barely even helped my pain so i figured why take them.
so now i suffer lol
fuck all these meds

its amazing, oxys really didnt help my pain all that well either, it helped, but not like I thought it would. As strong as they are supposed to be, and the science behind the way they are supposed to work, they definately disappointed me. When a drug is supposed to attach to specific proteins called opioid receptors, which are found in the brain, spinal cord, and gastrointestinal tract, and these drugs attach to certain opioid receptors in the brain and spinal cord they can effectively block the transmission of pain messages to the brain. You would think a drug like this would almost completely illiminate the pain.

Oxycodone combined with Acetaminophen:
Endocet; Oxycet; Oxycocet; Oxycodone W/APAP; Oxycodone W/Acetaminophen; Percocet; Percocet-Demi; Percocet-5; Roxicet; Roxilox; Tylox

Oxycodone combined with Aspirin:
Percodan, Endodan, Oxycodan, Roxiprin

Oxycodone alone:
Oxycontin (12 hour time release), Oxy IR (Oxycodone Immediate Release), Supeudol, Roxicodone

Bottom line: there isnt much difference in the pills, and no difference in main active ingredient, so his bullshit claim was not completely without merit.

Also, if anything Percs are worse, since Acetaminophen is NOT good for you.
