Wow!!fellow iron pumpers don't miss this!!

remember the point of working out at the gym is to tear up the muscle fibers. AAS merely speeds recovery and some researching believe allow you to push the body further than possible. as well as other things. so you can use AAS to your benefit especially at your age.

now as far as your diet i've never heard of anyone who eats deer, buffalo and cantelope. do you live in Africa and eat lions too? what is that all about, sounds like you are pulling our legs on that.

your workout has too much isolation as has been said. if you aren't doing bench press, squats, deads, pullups, dips, and those types of compound lifts then you are really making things harder on yourself. you could literally do only those compound lifts using correct form and you would get in a great workout everytime.. now i'm not saying don't do isolation as it has its place, but i'm saying compound lifts > isolation .. hope that makes sense.

and also its wonderful you workout with your teenage son and his teenage friend.. but they are BOYS. you are a MAN. this type of thing is wonderful but it bothers me when i see it as much as when i see a guy training with his gf/wife and doing girly weight. you should find a partner who is a man to train with or train alone and get a spot here and there. good luck.

BOOM!!
Zyglamail, you hit the nail on the head!! Isolation and every muscle, every grip, different methods
='s LOADS of hard work!!

As I and others have said....w a s t e o f t i m e.

Thats waaaay too much volume for someone who is natural and I would even argue for someone on AAS thats our age.

Think im pulling your leg? Im the same height as you, within a year of your age, have a lower BF than you and I weight 242lbs.

Im in and out of the gym in an hour (little more if you count general warmup), train 4 days a week. My typical workout is 2 compound strength exercises followed by an 8-25 minute metabolic conditioning workout which often times includes ab work, pull ups, bodyweight sqauts, running, rowing, power cleans, pushups etc etc.

My main lifts....

deadlifts
front/back sqauts
power cleans
bent over rows
pull ups/chin ups
overhead presses/push presses/push jerks
bench press
dips

Tell me what muscle group im not hitting?

A lot of carbs in your diet man. I'd cut out all bread personally, deli meats suck too (they're a processed meat with weird fillers in them). Yogurts are typically laced with a ton of sugar. If the above is what the "eating for you bloodtype" diet says you should be eating then I'd say it is not congruent with a lifestyle you wish to maintain.

I think even a Body For Life style diet is a better option than the above...

Your goals, are you sure you need steroids for them? P90X style workouts coupled with a solid diet yield great results for many people.

If you want to be bigger than the average person then maybe AAS are not a bad choice with some considerations:
1. As you retain more mass typically your cardio will suffer. Lifespan is also reduced typically.
2. Is your wife ready for waking up with a hard-on pressed up against her and some savage grunts and ass grabbing every single morning? (sounds silly, but in my experience not too many women can cut it).
3. Mood changes: it will probably increase because of your age. You will have a tendency to become more selfish (studies are out there reporting this phenomenon) - this may not be well suited for a family lifestyle though.
4. Impacts on cardiovascular system: Blood serum cholesterol ratios changing (for the worst, temporary though), blood pressure increasing...
5. The implications of never coming off: HRT may become a reality if recovery is difficult. Not completely unusual at age 40.
6. Psychological addiction: Hardly spoken of, but once you come off and see a lot of gains slipping and your desire to jump back on increases and you start ignoring good practice for AAS...

I dont use these as scare tactics, just things to keep in mind for negotiating the use of anabolics.

Thanks UA_Iron for the Sound Advise, Info, and The Green!!
I was starting to feel really bad about the way I have come across here.
The above post is what I originally came here for and the best post I've had to date.
IMHO
I originally came here for AAS advise as this is a whole new World to Me.
I am willing to sacrifice the above issue's the only things I'd like to avoid are losing
My Liberty,Organ damage, MPB, and Sex Drive. Wife is GTG all the way, I am blessed with Her.
The reasons You listed are why I am moving forward with caution and joined here
in the first place Brother. Looked at many other sites E-F is the only Site I felt comfortable with.
I know this isn't a game and take it very seriously.
THEN I started getting asked about My workout routine , diet etc....
I didn't realize it was so out of whack, thought I was good in that area
( I get accused of using AAS, and "hook me up" at the Gym all the time)
but, I am glad that it went there because it has given Me a lot to re-think.
I hope I never get too old or stubborn to not learn or listen anymore.
And I am also sorry My posts are so long just don't want to 1/2 answer questions
and that's just Me.
I am willing to do and execute to the letter a full detailed workout routine and diet plan along
with AAS and a PCT for an 8 or 12 week period if someone is willing to write one out for Me
and has Personally taught someone how to or either achieved the goals I am looking to achieve.
Very important to Me!!
(BTW, No I don't expect someone to be willing to do that for free and
things are tight these days if You have read My prior posts, or Life Story!!)
Asking a lot I know, but without all this I can't change overnight, My diet and routine
didn't get broke overnight and it won't get fixed overnight if I don't have a plan to
fix it all. Believe it or not it took Me a long time and a ton of effort to screw things up this bad
apparently.
It is an awakening experience for Me. I'm humbled and taken back by it all.
But, again U_A Iron sound advise , "soak it up like a sponge" I will and try
and learn to move forwards instead of backwards.
Thanks Brothers in Iron!!
Sincerely, Glad To Be Alive

you got the dedication and that is a big part of getting results.

I think you should look into a test only cycle for 8-12 weeks.
research pct products like post cycle, unleashed and formastanzol
you should have an anti estrogen on hand like formastanzol for the cycle as well

a good back-to-basics routine would be 5x5 and you can find a ton of info on that in our weightlifting forum
we also have a great diet forum and you can find a ton of great info there as well.

i think its always best if you can do some research and provide a 'rough draft' and then have the vets here tweak it if necessary.

Hello Zyglamail,
242 wow, how long have You been the AAS route?
I would Love to be a solid 240 ripped!!
And spend less time in the Gym that's the exact
reason I joined this site Brother!!

Im not quite ripped, diet is too lax for that but im working towards it. In all honesty after a couple year layoff I got back into it, started HRT (been on HRT doses for almost couple years) but my goal wasnt to get big, for me HRT was for mental clarity, well being, drive/focus etc. I just want to be strong and healthy at this point in my life so I chose a plan where reps are generally low (3-6 range usually) to focus on strength without a lot of mass gains. Even so, over the last couple years my bodyfat has been slowly declining and my weight increasing.

Compound movements are only as strong as your weakest link. you can have the strongest back in the world but if you have weak biceps they will hinder your pull ups. Strong legs but have a weak back? Deadlifts will force your back to grow.

Compound movements, because of the large demands on your system as a whole trigger a more pronounced systemic response from your body in terms of hormones released etc which is what will cause you to see real gains.

Just put all your skepticism aside for 8-12 weeks and try one of the lower volume high intensity plans to the test, I bet you will be pleasantly surprised.

Thanks Judo Tom,
I will be working on that goal, may take Me a minute to come up
with a solid plan with My schedule and begin executing it
but, it will be a priority. Will start checking forums for info.
I also have the 2 teenagers to deal with, gonna be a tough aspect
of this plan They are used to being slaves in the Gym.
Appreciate Your advise and help Brother

and again...your two teen boys would be better served on a lower volume, higher intensity whole body or two way split routine like a 5x5, etc. If they get into a decent football program, they won't be spending hours on 17 different ways to hit the biceps, they will be doing 3-5 compound lifts in a 45 minute to 1 hour session. If they start that now, and start eating big now, they will grow now and be that much further ahead later.

They aren't going to cry or suffer because of less time spent in the gym. I'm sure they'd rather get more results in less time and spend the extra time out chasing girls. Jesus man!!

Your hurting them more by keeping them on this insane routine they're on now.
