Wow!!fellow iron pumpers don't miss this!!

Gladtobealive,

You seem like a very nice guy, caring for and loving your family...you just come across as a geniunely likeable guy. And...like many of us here...you are STUBBORN! This is often a good trait, and it helps us to push through when the going gets tough. But you need to realize..there is some tough love on this thread...this place is a treasure trove of knowledge and experience, so when people tell you that you need to totally change your training routine, it is only because it is the absolute truth! Hitting every muscle group individually, and from multiple angles is not only unnecessary, it is even counter-productive, especially at this point. Heavy, compound exercises are where its at!
Let me say that again: HEAVY COMPOUND EXERCISES!!!
I am sure your current routine is a tough one, but that doesn't make it a good one.
Please listen to the good brothers on this thread and on this forum, and please, please consider doing a programs like has been suggested, ie: a 5x5, or at least something that is mostly based on (here it comes again...) HEAVY COMPOUND EXERCISES!!! If you feel you really must add a bit (a little bit!) of extra work on a particular part you want to bring up, that is likely going to be fine, but what you are doing now is no good.
You came here for advice, but you seem resistant to accepting the best advice given in this thread. It happens a lot here, and I mostly ignore people that do it, but...I don't know...something about your story and your posts makes me think you are a really good guy, so I am trying to convince you to please listen to the advice given here. You can get great advice on nutrition, drugs, etc here....but you really really need to put your ego on the shelf (hard for many of us at times, myself included) and accept the advice on your training also.
You have the work ethic to go far, but I would hate to see you waste that hard work on an unproductive routine.
Bottom line: change your training! CHANGE IT!

BOOM!!
Zyglamail, you hit the nail on the head!! Isolation and every muscle, every grip, different methods
='s LOADS of hard work!! Also, spot on with the recovery it seems to never catch up with My schedule
I am hoping with AAS and that is why I turned this way that I can reach a new plateau.
I would Love to hear Your" been there done that and learned from it"!!

1 example of Chest and back day. I always do push/ pull or at least stretch same day and different muscle groups.
To avoid crampimg and fatigue.
4-5 sets flat different styles, 4-5 sets extremely declined with barbell and DB's. 4-5 sets of Incline.
Then cable flys Low, Medium and High also cross-over with technique as a premium. I include heavy
drop-sets , machine fly's also different weighted declined pushups, in between all this back with cables reverse machine flys for
rhomboids minor and major squeezing. chainsaws , deadlifts, back machine. E-Z curl in Roman chair for back extensions,
pro-nated and supinated back machines with alternating weights, seated cable rows wide, medium and narrow bars with drop-sets
included. Along with Traps, and deep decline abs with 45's on head and on and on!! That's a very tough 4 hour day!!
And I'm sure I didn't mention everything. I was working Bi's and Tri's same day long time ago, worked so hard arms felt
like They were going to explode!! So split Them up.
Bi's and Legs, along with traps ( for stretch) , abs, neck.
Tri's with lats (for pull stretch) shoulders, traps and ab's and calves and glutes.
Too many to list with lots of Isolation!!
Wow!! even writing it wears Me out!! You Guys have a point, I am just a very determined Person!!

That is absolutely unnecessary...and absolutely counter-productive. You are overtraining beyond belief, and you have no desire to change.

You think those big BBers got big by doing all that crap? LOL! Most of them started off doing PLing style routines like...yes, the 5x5, et.al.

Hello ox-sandra-loan,
"You seem like a very nice guy, caring for and loving your family...you just come across as a geniunely likeable guy. "

Thank You so much for Your kindness, couldn't have come at a better time!!
I was writing while You posted and read afterwards.
Also, Thank You for not ignoring Me and sorry for posting typical dummy posts.
I will sincerely take all this info in and calculate it and try and change My ways through this thick Skull of mine, LOL
It won't happen overnight but, I WILL make it a work in Progress!!
AGAIN, Thank You so much for Your kind words it means alot to a Person like Myself, I do not
want to seem disrespectful or arrogant in any way, If there is 1 thing I've learned in Life it is to be
open to suggestions and obtain wisdom from wise People.
My Goal is just to be a better Me, And help as many People as I can along the way.
My methods May be off but, My Heart is in the right place.
Thank You for Your time, Glad to Be Alive!!

Well welcome to EF.... You seem like one of of those guys that everyone likes so let let me help you a little. I am new here too bro and trust me you are in the right place once it comes to this, but remember it is a privilege to be here not a right. These guys have a TON of knowledge and most importantly experience. Dylan helped me out too and like he said just PM him. 2nd if you put in as much time Into research as you do your posts you will do great!! Lastly and most importantly "READ" the posts on here as well as do research online. Trust me no one on here is going to do it for you man. Remember take all comments with a grain of salt and be open to criticism. The one thing that i have learned on here is there is always more to learn...Good luck man

Look up HIT training...its all about intensity. Go kill it and get out. Stimulate...dont annihilate. Its never about the amount of volume. Its all about intensity and muscular stimulation. All of that volume is over kill. Eat loads of good food and do HIT training and u will continue to grow. Period. Instead of doing more sets incorporate intensity boosting techniques such as rest pause, forced reps, drop sets, and partials. All of these will take your training to the next level. 80-90% of your gains start and end in the kitchen. Get the diet and training down and u will GROW!!!

I hit you with Red.

You want a 'CNN' version to obtaining your goals, and by age 40 you should know that this is a fallacious way of thinking. I don't think it's that difficult to read around and get a better general idea of whats going on with everything.

If you're that hell-bent on it and dont want do the research, pay someone the $$, hold their hand and skip to some temporary solution.
