I thought so too. vaccination for the hepitits B virus have cut it down. It stated these are estimates and half of the people carrying these diseases dont even know.

Well, even with the "estimates" disclaimer, it seems horribly skewed. I will acknowledge though there are parts in the world (particularly sub-Saharan Africa) where the HIV infection rates are just positively staggering.
