NCAA Football this weekend Thursday has a couple ranked teams playing and Saturday has some really good match-ups.........Is it going up the day of the game or are thursday's going up wednesday????? Saturdays on Friday night?? I feel like I'm out of the loop so I guess the best option is ask ?'s It seem's you 2 have an ebbb and flow going with one putting up MLB one day and switching so what-up?

I'll put some up tomorrow the non-conference early season is usually slow unless there is a big game being hyped, it's all good......................

I'll be in Atlantic City Thursday and Friday. So you guys get the picks for those days. I'll take some games for Saturday. Thats when the real mayhem starts (53 games!). Enough games for everyone. Just can't have one person putting up all the top 20 national TV matches. I'm happy with one or two good games and then I'll pick some WAC or MAC games. We'll see how it goes. Things tend to fall in line here with a routine without much bitching.

Rutgers plays Monday at home against Fresno st. Early line has RU -5.5. I may want one of you to put that up so I can bet the farm on my team.

THE TRUTH ABOUT BODOG

written August 27, 2008 by The Shrink

EOG has learned that an article about Bodog that appeared in Forbes magazine may not have been entirely accurate. It contained several mistakes that the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group felt compelled to clarify for their customers.

Most of Bodog customers already know the following:

1: All operators outsource payment processing functions to third parties and these payment processors are subject to regulatory constraints wherever they operate.

2: Occasionally in the US, they are subject to legal action because of the uncertain legal environment.

However, the seizure of funds from these US payment processors was mischaracterized in this article, which refers to two specific legal cases against US processors. Right or wrong, the article does not make a clear distinction between these cases, which, as a result, paints a misleading picture.

The facts are these: the first of these cases – relating to a seizure of funds from a processor known as JBL Services – happened a long time ago and has absolutely nothing to do with the current payment processing challenges being experienced in the US. The constraints being experienced by payment processors in the US are universal in that region and not specific to any particular processor or site.

Also, it is imperative to note not one single player failed to get paid when this processor was disrupted.

The second case refers to a payment processor known as Zippayments.com and seizure of funds from this processor’s bank accounts in Nevada. The article falsely implies – but notably does not go so far as to state - that $9.9M seized from Zippayment’s Nevada bank accounts were funds on account for “Bodog”.

This is simply not true.

Processing partners with whom the Morris Mohawk Gaming Group does business are sophisticated organizations that are perfectly clear as to the actual facts of these cases and their contexts. They are unfazed by such media hype and Morris Mohawk wishes to ensure that its customers are similarly informed. Customer deposits are safe and every player has and will always be paid.

--------Response to Layoffs--------

Bodog itself has not seen any layoffs. The rumors persisting about layoffs at Bodog have actually taken place with a firm that provides some software and marketing support, but we are confident their service levels to us have not been, and will not be, affected.

Morris Mohawk did release a small number of people in response to increased automation in certain services and an updated forecast on volumes for the coming football season. The rumors persisting about layoffs at MMGG have actually taken place with a firm that provides some software and marketing support, but we are confident their service levels to us have not been, and will not be, affected.

EOG'S conclusion:

Bodog has been a pivotal sponsor on a prominent site known for writing National Enquirer style columns. It's founder used to work for me and he is a gifted writer. However, shortly after Bodog decided not to renew their advertising contract with him, he wrote a rather scathing article about this topic. This is not the first time this bullying tactic has been launched and we do not condone this behavior.

We believe Bodog customers have nothing to worry about as far as receiving payout's and that's the bottom line. As a gambler, I'd bet a lot of coin that Bodog will be around longer than this other entity. In fact, they already have.

I feel very confident endorsing Bodog as I just returned this week from Antigua where Bodog is located. It is fiscally responsible to make some adjustments in the current climate and that's exactly what I see Bodog doing.

If anyone has any other questions about either of these topics in this column, please don't hesitate to contact me at:

just an FYI
I've been paid out by bodog
it just takes 2 months
I have another payout I'm waiting on

no shocker there

I understand the rationale. They're in a period of "cleaning" the site and linking to illegal offshore gambling isn't cleaning up. I think eventually sports gambling will be legalized. hell there are casinos all over the US

I also wanted to link to a good gambling forum,(not too large and more of a community) that I've been hanging out at for about the past year. Getting to know the characters and posting myself so I'm "recognized". And with football season here I was ready to write the owner-mod at EOG and suggest some cross promotion. They promote elite and we promote EOG. Like elite EOG has many above board and legal discussion forums. Elite has the primarily illegal setriods forum and they have their sports gambling forums. And I felt we could add many people here from that forum if we could display that the fake gambling can be as exciting as real wagering (I do both). Anyhow,I'm putting my thoughts here in publice so we can get a dialog going and perhaps rick, george et. al. will change their opinion.

If you're interested that forum is Online Gambling, Online Sportsbooks at Eye on Gambling provides Live Odds Sports News Free Picks Sports Betting and Gambling Odds Online at eog.com

I'm spartacus there as well

plusin this system you can see how the other people are wagering-see who puts their "money" where their mouth is
and we get sort of a public sentiment on a game
if we could at least treble the typical number of people here we can really start to observe trends etc.
over at EOg they're always arguing with each about games
here you can do something about it

this has been very instructive to me
I hadn't bet real money since the late 80s
leading this forum has got me back up to speed quick

I think it's cool hobby too as you really learn the sports and the nuances
and then you start following other sports and learning
such as NHL and UFC for me

and I've really increased my basketball knowledge
I've only in the past 5 years gotten into watching the NBA
I didn't play or follow basketball in my youth so I was starting fresh
after 25+ years of football and baseball I was ready to follow a new sport
and now I really like the NBA

Slayer I thought you were a cool guy? Guess your just going to have to learn respect for Fresno State the hard way! Dogs are going to crush Rutgers!

yea bro but there would have to be prizes or something for year k winning leaders etc .. if k cost money it would have to serve a purpose to others outside the community comming in..all it is right now is who has the most k braggin rights lol, which works pretty good on here but i dont think they would buy it .. also with prizes it would get more people involved on here .. sky is the limit with this .. seems alot of people dont belive that though
