Who watched the HBO Special on Hookers

Holy shit! There was some crazy stuff going on that program. If you didn't watch it, watch the repeat. Your jaw will drop. Sad, funny, and shocking all at the same time. HBO rocks.

Walked in the living room to see what was on TV...I heard more F words than on Scarface...my 57 year old retired father was zoned in like B True on a 24oz rare prime rib.

I watched about 5 minutes...saw a guy rocking his car with a hooker in it...and went back in the other room and watched sportscenter.

Oh yeah, it's a documentary shot in the Hunts Point area of the Bronx. It's a very popular area at night for hookers. There is a new segment shot every few years to keep up to date with the veteran hookers in that area. BAscially, they are looking for a success story. Alot of these women want to get out of that life, but always see themselves going back. I grew up not far from Hunts Point and that was always the Restricted area for me and my friends. It took me many years to know why... I like the fact that it's a very real program....they don't hide a thing about it.

I love those shows. There's like four of them.

Hookers at the point.
Hookers and Johns.
Pimps Up, Ho's Down.
Hookers at the point, 5 years later.

WOW!!! 4 different shows?

It kinda uncovered a whole section of society most of us don't ever have to encounter. Imagine having a life like the pimps and ho's and the johns. Imagine if that kind of life was your everyday reality. That one girl, I think it was the hot black chick, talked about getting abducted and getting gang raped at gunpoint. She didn't even shed a tear telling that story. She said she would from then on, thoroughly inspect each john's car prior to getting in. What a hard life that must be. While that was a downer, there were some parts that were comical. They director did a good job to not overwhelm you with the very depressing aspects of that life and have some comedy and over the top shit too.

that life is truly surreal - it really is so far removed from "normal" life, it's almost impossible to relate to it.

anyway, as nauseating as some of it is, I agree it is riveting - I found I had to watch the whole thing once I started. and the guy doing the narration is great.

what was really strange is a camera shot they showed a couple of times throughout the show. They had a camera at the end of the block looking down the street and you see all these cars pulling up, and then driving off. It was almost like a McDonalds Drive Thru, except for hookers. And places like this are in every big city. Amazing.

How about the black guy that was talking to the Latina hooker about eating her boyfriends ass and sucking his dick while she watched?
