When bulking: Eat clean for quality but less calories Vs. Eat anything for quantity

Calories are calories.. It doesn't matter if your calories come from a snickers bar or oatmeal. Eating "clean" doesn't mean anything.

I recomed a low fat diet while bulking.

Disagree. Why do you think there is no difference between high GI (snickers) and low GI (oatmeal) carbs? Not to mention that Snickers isn't really "low fat" :) (I know, it was just an example. But a lousy one :D)

eat as many calories as you can shove down your throat, if you see some fat gains add t-3 and it will keep the fat off of you and improve your muscular gains.

t-3 will improve your muscular gains? i was under the impression that it's VERY catabolic unless you're taking a small dose like 25mcg which helps w/ protein synthesis but NOT fat burning...

I've never used it before so I'm just talking from research, but if you could shed some light on it that'd be great, sounds like a good idea if it works!!!! Details!!!! :)

i still try to eat clean when i gain weight,i up the potatoes,oatmeal,rice..and stay with the same protein sources .
you can have more junk food obviously while bulking, but not the bulk of your diet should be around eating garbage.:D

I don't know much about it but it seems that they use only about 12.5mcgs when bulking.

During gainer cycles, I eat a double Quarter Pounder and Supersize fries and coke every day. Easy and tastey 1800 calories.

You should eat as clean as possible but you should add in some high protein junk foods in there too. Stuff like burgers, pizzas, ice cream. But you shold only do this about once or twice a week only for about a total of 3 meals for the week and do 30 mins cardio for 4 days a week and you will keep the fat off and still make some quality gains!!!

Damn that WAR '96 book!!!!

T3 will do nothing for you on a bulking cycle. Shoving food down your face and taking t3 is like taking two steps forward and one step back. IMO you are better off eating less and not using t3.

I'm saying that 50g of carbohydrate is 50g of carbohydrate. And 10g of fat is 10g of fat, and, for caloric intake and expenditure, it makes no difference where those macro's come from.

So 50g of carbs from skittles is the same as 50g of carbs from oatmeal.. Obviously there is a difference in micro nutrient profile, but not macro.

About the hi and low GI-- I think that system is terribly over-emphasized. Again, 50g of carbs is 50g of carbs.

how about eating clean but adding in those N-large2 shakes along with it?

To answer your question, no the oatmeal does not have to be cooked. Good luck bro.
