current stats:
6'5'' - 245 (more soft than lean)

my goal is to be a lean 200lbs.. would 200 lbs be too skinny at 6'5''?

so i guess im asking.. if u were 6'5'', what would your goal weight be (cutting from 245)

it depends on what kind of look you want to go for..200 seems a bit skinny for a 6'5", but maybe cutting down to 200 then bulking up 20lbs then cutting a few, then bulking more would be a muscular, lean look..

at 6'5" you can look like a monster if you want..

i was 315 lbs 11 months so i have ALOT of left over fat in random places.. like huge fatty calves (cankles).. and man boobs.. im kinda hard on myself but i want to get rid of almost all fat and go for a lean model type look.. trust me im not gay if any1 weighed 315 like me, the would go for the model look too

Man we sound like twins, Im also batteling with what a good weight will be for me, I think I want to get to 220 then bulk. My LOOOONG term goal is to be 250+ with abs.

Check my sig for my progress

yeah 250 with abs would be amazing.. is it possible to cut just by lifting weights and little cardio? high entensity lifting i guess.. i wanna get cut and skinny at the same time

getting cut is done mainly in the kitchen, however, cardio and weights drastically speed up the process. Look into Bill Starr's 5x5 program for a good one for maintaining a lot of muscle mass while dieting, mainly because you will be lifting lower reps/higher weight so your body trys to maintain more muscle.

Also, depending on how much weight you want to lose in a given period of time, its helpful for you to know your daily maintenace for calories and adjust according to how much you will want to drop. ex: -500 calories/day from your maintenance will give you 1lb a week of loss. The more weight you lose per week, the more muscle you will be dropping with it. So if you're trying to maintain muscle, don't drop calories too low.

GL to you!

I am 6'5" and i am at 250 with 10-12% bf, meaning, i have abs. I am not HUGE but I am no freakin skinny ass model either. Try diet and cardio to shed the fat. then do a 5x5 workout to strengthen up your tendons for about 4 weeks, then go to a 8x3 sliding ratio workout to bulk up, make sure to adjust your diet to coincide with the work outs goals....

when shedding fat, eat often, small, clean meals/lean.. when doing 5x5 eat more protein. then when going to the 8x3 make a good mix of protein fats and carbs to maintian.

Don't want to derail but...

Only problem I have is I can't do squats or deadlifts, I would love to do a 5x5 but due to my ankle problem I can't balance properly on my left ankle since the range of motion is so messed up. So Im stuck doing semi-compound movements everyday, I usually lift 4-5 days a week and cardio 3-5, so I guess its just going to take some time.

Ankle pic *WARNING* its not for the weak of stomach
